Goalkeeper in Tottenham rejection shocker…

At times it seems as if Juande Ramos is attempting to amass an army rather than a squad of footballers, such is the amount of players that he’s after.
The Daily Hate Mail reports that finally, someone has rejected a move to White Hart Lane, whose dressing room must be bursting at the seams with players.

Cameroon goalkeeper Carlos Kameni has turned down a £4.5m move to Tottenham because manager Juande Ramos asked him to give up playing in the Africa Cup of Nations.

Kameni, 24, was set to complete a move from Espanyol until he discovered Ramos wanted a clause written into his contract saying he would not be released for the mid-season tournament every other January. (Daily Mail)

All this confirms two things, Spurs aren’t a totally irresistible force when it comes to transfers, and secondly, that Juande Ramos is anxiously fingering his transfer wad – eager to buy a new keeper.
