Liverpool to bid for £10m flying winger: A fair price for a good player!

After much back and forth it appears that a more realistic valuation may resuscitate Rafa’s interest in this La Liga star.

Rafa Benitez wants to bring Albert Riera back to the Premier League with Liverpool.
And Riera is excited about the prospect of a return to England following his stint in the top flight on loan with Manchester City two years ago.
The Espanyol ace said: “I always want to improve and progress and I am waiting for my agent to come with news of an offer from a big club.”
That is coming from Liverpool – but Reds boss Benitez will have to cough up £10million for Riera after failing to tempt the La Liga outfit with a player-plus-cash deal.

Considering Espanyol had previously demanded a fee in the region of 19m for the 26 year old this valuation may be a tad more realistic and appears to signal a potential new bid from Benitez. After landing a nice wad of cash for Peter Crouch and with other players also reportedly set to leave the Liverpool boss has some cash to play with and the addition of a quality wide man could be exactly what the club needs. Do Anfield regulars think that there are better wingers out there to snare?
