Fulham on verge of signing West Ham striker – HOT or definitely NOT?
by stresster on July 14th, 2008 3 commentsThe Cottagers were a bit short on goals last season, so much so that they had to scramble for survival at the end of the season and were blinking lucky to stay in the Premier League. Roy Hodgson has clearly recognised this, although whether this latest signing will mean more goals is surely firmly open to question!
The Daily Telegraph report that West Ham are laughing all the way to the bank have agreed to accept £6.25million for Bobby Zamora, who hardly had a kick for the Hammers last season. Indeed, many might argue that the forward is a Championship player rather than Premier League – perhaps he’ll get the chance to prove this the season after next.
Does anyone actually think this is a good bit of business on Fulham’s part? Or have they settled for Zamora after sniffing around other targets? It’s hard to see the striker scoring any more than a dozen goals and a front pairing of him and Diomansy Kamara is hardly going to strike fear into opposition defences.

Unfortunately its ‘not’. Ive never been convinced that he has enough consistency in his form for the PL.
That said, he was a loyal and hardworking squad player for us at WH and he certainly goes with most fans best wishes (well mine at least!).

take it from a die-hard West Ham fan: Bobby Z will be better than Boa Morte. It’s true he’s not a top class striker, but he gives everything for the team, and he can lift a team, as he did when we was in the relegation battle season before last. His goal against Arsenal will never be forgotten. Believe me, Hammers fans love the Z-man and will be sorry to see him go. Two seasons ago he led the club with 11 goals. Possibly not what you’re looking for, but better than LBM. Have to say you put one over on us there! Good luck to yas, Fullham, I was damn proud of the way you stayed up last season.
