Fulham on verge of signing West Ham striker – HOT or definitely NOT?

The Cottagers were a bit short on goals last season, so much so that they had to scramble for survival at the end of the season and were blinking lucky to stay in the Premier League. Roy Hodgson has clearly recognised this, although whether this latest signing will mean more goals is surely firmly open to question!

The Daily Telegraph report that West Ham are laughing all the way to the bank have agreed to accept £6.25million for Bobby Zamora, who hardly had a kick for the Hammers last season. Indeed, many might argue that the forward is a Championship player rather than Premier League – perhaps he’ll get the chance to prove this the season after next.

Does anyone actually think this is a good bit of business on Fulham’s part? Or have they settled for Zamora after sniffing around other targets? It’s hard to see the striker scoring any more than a dozen goals and a front pairing of him and Diomansy Kamara is hardly going to strike fear into opposition defences.
