Manchester United’s England hitman Wayne Rooney has gone from strength-to-strength since moving from Everton. Often accused of not weighing in with enough goals, 77 to his name in four seasons suggests he is doing pretty damn well. The 22-year-old also contributes a great deal more on top of his excellent finishing from his fantastic all-round play to tireless tackling.
Fernando Torres is in many ways a different style of striker to Rooney, and has made an instant impact since arriving at Anfield. Many baulked at the fee Rafa Benitez paid for his services, but no one doubts the Spaniard’s value now. Always determined and desperate to win at all costs, he topped off a great 07-08 with the winning goal at Euro 2008. Sheer class and a Liverpool legend in the making.

Rooney has been outscored 2 seasons in a row by diego forlan…you just mean while diego was in the prem, when clearly diego forlan is purely a la liga player. Players are effected dramatically by different leagues, look at veron, who you paid 28mill for a few years back, or shevchenco and crespo who when they signed for chelsea were arguably the best forwards around. Not all players can adapt so JPF you are obviously a cunt.
Torres is a better forward for me, but rooney is the best 2nd striker around, for me he is a better attacking midfielder as opposed to an out and out striker. but still, its all about torres. Fuck JPF.
