Everton line up most important signing of the summer…
by Dexter on July 15th, 2008 The thundering press hordes are reporting that Everton are very close to securing their most important signing.
David “Moyesiah” Moyes has been a miracle worker at Goodison, improving his team to such an extent that they regularly breathe down the complacent necks of the Big 4.
David Moyes is expected to sign a new long-term contract before the new season starts next month.
The Everton manager, who has just one year left on his current deal, has confirmed that meaningful talks have started with owner and chief executive Bill Kenwright. (Independent)
Rumours have been rife that Moyes has been holding out for concrete transfer funds until he signed a new contract. Does the beginning of serious talks imply that Everton have finally secured some wonga to splurge?
