The Lord of the Ferg’s ruddy cheeks have just turned molten orange at news of this potential outrage…The Daily Mail today presents us with some piping hot transfer tripe. They claim that, having decided that Adebayor is too pricey, Barcelona are going to have a punt on Dimitar Berbatov instead.
According to the Daily Mail’s crack squadron of journos:
Barcelona have launched an 11th hour to tempt Dimitar Berbatov away from Tottenham - and ruin Sir Alex Ferguson’s plans.
Manchester United boss Ferguson is confident he’ll land Bulgaria striker Berbatov before the start of the season and is reported to have tabled a £20m-plus bid.
But Barca are now poised to offer £24million after losing patience with Arsenal over Emmanuel Adebayor who has been valued at £35m for the Togo striker. (Daily Mail)
If true, and that is a big “IF”, a move to Barca would definitely represent the lesser of two evils for Tottenham fans - as it would surely be preferable to seeing the Bulgarian gallivanting around in a Man Utd kit.

As for Barca moving on from Ade because he is too pricey…how does that make any sense at all?? Berba is what, four or five years older than Ade and would cost in the same over 20 mil price range, correct? I dont see them trying to save 5 mil on someone five years older. That just doesnt make a lot of sense.

i think man ure and liverpoo, have opened the can of worms, what the premier league doesnt want continually put in front of them, they know that if they dont do something about this, the rest of the teams ,who also are part of the pl, (at the moment) will see this as favouritism, to the top 4 and keeping them there, if thats the case ,why do the rest of the teams need the pl, because they are not doing anything to stop the rules continually being abused, because they are in the top 4, the premier league consists of 20 teams, not 4 , all should have equal rights by the pl, so as was said before, get the rest of the chairman together and form our own cartel (excluding the 4) and get the pl to do something about enforcing the rules, or to tell them, we dont need you, you do nothing for us, be a good premier league with just 4 teams in it, wont it. by the way, levy said he had evidence of tapping up, not just here say, and as for fergusons silly spurs comment, i suggest you read the facts before calling spurs silly, because it sounds to me, and spurs fans, that youve been caught with your hands in the cookie jar, otherwise levy, would not have said ,what he did. back to the name division 1 anyone ,when the league was possible to most teams ,outside of the top 4.

Fast counter attckin on the break from Bale Dos Santos Bent Modric and in a defensive spot have Bentley and Dos Santos tucking back as deep wingers to help out the full back and offer an option to counter attack. Can anyone see that not working?
