Fulham new boy Zamora vs West Ham United ace Ashton: VOTE NOW!

Given recent reported comments coming from a certain ex-West Ham striker it seemed like the right time to let the battle commence between these two forwards!
Fulham’s new signing Bobby Zamora is in many ways a very much maligned figure in the game but he has shown, on occasions at least, that he can be a very effective striker. He was of course prolific in his Brighton days and he was of course instrumental in the Hammers promotion season
West Ham’s Dean Ashton has of course been riddled with injuries in recent times but he has shown that on his day he can be hell for any centre back to deal with. Immense in the air and pretty damn decent on the deck he leads the line well and has shown that the traditional style centre forward is not dead!

Ashton is better in the air, better with the ball at his feet, his link up play is better, he finishes better with both feet and his head and he scores more goals

i think zamora is a good striker when fit , but no where near the same leauge as ASHTON is . ASHTON all the way!!!!!!!!!!

I think Bobby can be a great player - he’ll always be a legend to us Hammers BUT… what were his comments about Deano about? Then again, if my favourite club sold me I’d be pissed off at those staying. I was sad to see the Z-Man go but I’d much prefer to have Deano.

i like Bobby, but when it comes to who’s a better footballer, DEANO! DEEEEANOOO!!! Zamora’s good, (wished we didn’t sell him, after last year’s striker woes) but Dean’s the better player.

ASHTON Zamora is a journeyman type player who works hard but he is one dimensional most of the time a bit like Marlon Harewood. No way does he have the finish of Ashton, its a pity Deano doesnt have his energy!!

I’ve got no wish to turn The Zman into a villian.He showed real loyalty to the club last season when Curbs tried to sell him,and i can understand his frustration at being forced out of the club he loves.Zamora has some great attributes,and i wish him well at Fulham.

There is no contest. Ashton is by far the better player. Zamora is barely average. To be absolutely truthful, he probably isn’t good enough for Fulham. Good luck Bobby, you will need it. At last West ham are beginning to get rid of players who aren’t good enough to play for them.

I will have to go with Dean Ashton. Bobby is a brilliant forward who made us stay up in the premiership in the season 2006-2007 but I am pretty sure that Dean Ashton would have been in his place if he didn’t brake his ankle. So I will have to go with the England new boy.
