Everton boss tells striker to get lost after skipping friendly: He has £20m ace ready to take his spot!
by offsidetrap on July 24th, 2008After skipping out on a pre-season friendly just yesterday, Everton striker Andy Johnson looks like he might finally get his wish with a move back to London. Everton boss David Moyes was said to be furious at his striker for pushing his team-mates aside for personal goals, and because of it, he’s finally ready to let the striker leave. The good news for supporters is that the £10.5m the club is reported to be getting from Fulham will be put to good use by going after a certain £20m-rated striker!

But Moyes is already planning to spend the money from the Johnson sale on £20m-rated CSKA striker Vagner Love. (The Sun)
Well that would be a bit of an upgrade from Johnson! It almost seems like a foregone conclusion that Johnson will leave this summer. With that in mind, Love would be a wonderful addition to pair with Yakubu. After showing what he could with with former striker partner Jo at CSKA last season, one would believe that the two would make a fantastic duo up front. Love has made it known for some time that he was ready for a change. The only question remaining is if Everton will be willing to spend £20m for a top transfer target?
What do Everton supporters think about making a £20m move for Love? Do you think he could make an instant impact at the club this season?

You Toffeemen make me laugh! It wasn’t long ago that Johnson was being hailed as a legend (more like a leg end) after scoring twice against Liverpool. Now you’re getting rid of him. Ha ha ha ha ha.
