Liverpool’s relations with Aston Villa hit an all-time low this summer thanks to the whole Gareth Barry saga. And after yesterday’s comments from Liverpool workhorse, Dirk Kuyt, you can all but add Tottenham to the, “I despise Liverpool” club.

The Metro is reporting that Kuyt his opened his mouth and let fly his feelings on how great it would be to play with Robbie Keane this season. Oops!
‘Keane has played for many years in the Premier League. He has done really well with Spurs and is a massive player for them,’ said Holland striker Kuyt.
If he could do the same for us, if he came here, he would be a great signing.
‘When you are at a club like Liverpool you expect the club to be linked with top players and of course you want players like Keane because they can come in and do a good job.’ (Metro)
Well that will surely make the Tottenham brass happy, seeing as a deal hasn’t even been finalized yet. Either Kuyt knows something we don’t know, or he’s turned into Nostradamus by predicting what will be happening in the near future! If he has turned into Nostradamus, then I might want to start asking him some relevant questions like, “what will I have for lunch next Saturday.”
Do Spurs supporters think Kuyt is being a bit too presumptuous with his comments? Or do you believe Liverpool’s move for Keane is a done deal?

Anybody who has followed the Gareth Barry situation knows it was Villa who released stories to the press first not Liverpool. As for Keane and Spurs it was probably not the best thing for Rafa to speak about transfers but he was well into discussions with Spurs before he even mentioned about Keane to the media. In the real world Keane would have well been informed of this via agents so talking to the media is not an attempt to unsettle anybody!

I think all the sensible Spurs fans know that Keane and Berba are leaving this summer but it’s not such a bad thing. Both are at their peak so will only get worse and the money will enable Ramos to spend money on building a young team that can grow together. For the sums of money being talked about I think it’s a winning situation for us, Liverpool, wherever Berba ends up and the players.
