Well the Liverpool and Aston Villa transfer saga looks to finally be in the last stages of its existence. We have Villa manager Martin O’Neill to thank for that, after he gave Liverpool a final ultimatum that should put the Gareth Barry move to rest soon enough.

Well that’s a bit of harsh business, isn’t it? It appears that O’Neill is on his last thread with this whole ordeal, and like most, he’d like to know if Gareth Barry will be returning next season fully committed to pushing the club into the top 5. The manager has gone as far as showing his skipper that he’s ready to let bygones be bygones by allowing the wantaway man the chance a place in the Intertoto Cup squad for the Odense match. I think we call that, burying the hatchet!
Do Liverpool and Villa supporters think this deal will ever get done?
