After begging and pleading with his current club to let him be free, Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard appears to be getting the exact opposite of what he was asking for. Instead of reuniting with former Chelsea manager, Jose Mourinho, it appears that any move to Serie A will have to wait for another season. Frank can thank a certain Pompey midfielder for making it happen!

Muntari was on Inter’s radar for some time since Mourinho came on board. As Chelsea became increasingly cagey over losing their talismanic midfielder, the non-special one seemed to turn his attention to Muntari and his fleet-footed skills.
For Lampard, the move now means another season at the London club under another new coach. With the addition of Deco to the lineup next season, one would have to believe that Big Phil is taking Chelsea in a different direction. Could that mean a reduced role for the English midfielder? I guess we’ll find out!
Are Chelsea supporters happy to know that Lampard will be back next season? Where do you think he fits in Big Phil’s new regime?
