Newcastle United linked in potential swap deal for rising Blackburn left-back: Make it happen, King Kev!
by offsidetrap on July 28th, 2008Newcastle supporters have waited around for what seems like an eternity (two years to be exact) for a certain winger to get his game back to where it was when he first arrived. After holding out hope, Newcastle finally seemed reserved to the fact that he’s not going to come around anytime soon. They’re hoping his former club will take him off their hands in a swap for a left-back that could really shine at Tyneside.

Newcastle winger Damien Duff could be heading back to his former club Blackburn in a deal that would see Stephen Warnock go in the opposite direction. (Independent)
Duff heading back to Blackburn could be one of the best things Newcastle supporters have heard in a long time. Whilst they might not be getting anything back in return in the forms of funds for the transfer kitty, most would be fine seeing Duff make his move to his former club in a swap that would greatly favour King Kev. After sitting around at Liverpool, Warnock made a splash on the scene with Blackburn by proving that he can be a capable left-back when given the opportunity to shine. He would make a fantastic addition to the club for the upcoming season. What do Newcastle supporters think about a swap for Warnock?

Y0u have to be joking, Duff for Warnock in a straight swap.’
A liverpool reject for one of the best wingers in the game , who now looks to be fully recovered from injury and had a hat trick in his first outing.
If this happens you can bet it has more to do about wages than football.
