Bolton bag striker, but might have to wait…
by Dexter on July 29th, 2008The Daily Mail reports that Bolton Wanderers have bagged Levante striker Mustapha Riga, but might have to partake in some legal malarkey in order to push the signing through.
According to the Mail’s press hounds:
“Riga is in dispute with his Spanish club after they failed to pay his wages for nine months.
“He has penned a two-year deal with Bolton on the proviso he can join them as a free transfer.
“Levante want a fee of £500,000 and the matter is expected to end up before a judge before his future is decided.” (Daily Mail)
Riga was one of the few rays of light in the pretty rancid Levante side last year, so even if Gary Megson and his Bolton boys have to cough up a few more readies, then it still looks to be a good deal.
