Who will be the TOPSCORER in the Premier League in 08/09? Liverpool star Torres, Arsenal striker Adebayor, Manchester United ace Rooney, Spurs man Bent?
by Mr Comfort on July 31st, 2008Only weeks to go until we have a brand new season to salivate over, but until then, all we can do is speculate and predict.
Don’t forget to check out Online Football Manager!
So who do the fans think will finish top scorer next term? Click here to see the latest odds, but an outside bet that may be worth considering is Darren Bent who is amazingly priced at 33/1. If he gets the chance of a regular start, and if Berbatov leaves, then this bet may not seem quite so crazy. Torres is the obvious favourite given his explosive return last term, but the likes of Arsenal’s Adebayor, Chelsea’s Drogba, and Portsmouth pair Crouch and Defoe are also in the hunt.
Then of course there’s Manchester United’s Rooney and Tevez to consider, as well as last season’s top scorer Cristiano Ronaldo (although injury could count against him).
Bobby Zamora is 100/1, which is definitely not worth putting any money on whatsoever. So over to you, leave your suggestions in the box below using our handy cut-and-paste top three list below.

you 3 are having a laugh. rooney, keane and abba dabba in the top 3. Keane will be rotated for fun and will struggle in a shit liverpool team. Abba dabba wants out of arsenal so his mind will be elsewhere. rooney is the most overrated player of all time and will struggle to get 15.

Van Persie??? He’s only played about 15 games in his career!!! hahaha
Adebayor… Wopn’t do half as well next year… If you have Eduardo back… he will be your chance of top goalscorer
Torres
Drogba
Ronaldo/Rooney
As fior the bloke that said Rooney is overrated - he still m anaghed to score goals last year after being injured and playing left midfield/left back/in the hole/lone striker/right midfield… Fergy said that this year he will play him in his correct position, watch him score goals….

and as for all of the LFC mugs who are putting Keane on this list:
Robbie Keane made his debut but the Irishman couldn’t find the net as Liverpool were held to their second successive pre-season goalless draw. Keane played the first half and missed one of the best chances of the match. HE aint Squat without Berbatov making things easy 4 him

Hey Borat…did you watch the game? Rafa played with two completely different teams per half. Keane played with scrubs and Gerrard.
Wait until Torres and keane are on the pitch together. You think berbi made it easy for Keane? Wait until Torres is out there with him. Keane will flourish.

RONALDO NO1 for who real madrid ha ha ha.
maybe take those penalties away he scored last season and we see what he is really all about.or maybe he can get out of the crutches and catch up if he stays at united.if you support united you say ronaldo if you support lfc torres arsholes adabayor and so forth.but as for ronaldo scoring so much goals again dream on….dont forget if he stays he already showed how commited or lets say uncommited to the scum he is.remember beckham ronaldo is next you dont fuck with furgeson even i know that.as for top scorer we wait and see look forward to a great season….
