Juande Ramos is looking at raiding West Ham United for their most prized possession, but will the Hammers sell?
West Ham United are expecting Tottenham to make an £18m move for their star striker Dean Ashton.
West Ham’s chief executive Scott Duxbury said: “Hell would have to freeze over for us to sell Dean to a major rival. It would be no surprise to us if there are certain clubs who would be interested in him. But we worked very hard to put together a deal to keep Dean at the club and he remains a massive part of our ambitious plans.” (News of the World)
Dean Ashton is clearly a player that West Ham will not want to lose but could they keep hold of him if a bid of such proportions was offered? The former Norwich man is a great front man who injury permitting can easily become a 20 goal a season man. Curbs is clearly looking to invest more into youth and cut his wage bill but he will surely not be keen on taking the big cheque from his fierce rivals from north London. Do Spurs fans think that Ashton could be a good addition to their starting eleven and do Hammers fans think that their board will hold firm and not consider selling their hit man?
