The source below suggests that a certain Gunners striker could be on his way to Italy, but it seems unlikely to me!
The Bianconeri have been eyeing Robin Van Persie all summer but they have so far failed to make a move.
The Emirates Cup will provide the perfect opportunity for the club to pounce and lure the player to Turin.
Tuttosport claims that Juve officials will meet with their colleagues from North London in order to negotiate a possible deal for Van Persie.
It is believed the player no longer sees eye to eye with Arsene Wenger and that his future at the Emirates isn’t as secure as it looks.
The brilliant Gunner would be the ideal replacement for Pavel Nedved when he decides to hang up his boots, and the Dutch star could arrive sooner rather than later as €20m (£16m) should be enough to convince the Gunners to part-company with their man.
La Vecchia Signora has done well in the transfer market so far and Van Persie would be a welcome addition to the side, as they prepare for Serie A and the Champions League. (goal.com)
Really don’t think this is likely to happen, even though RVP caused a minor stir earlier in the summer when he questioned the wage structure at the club. The Dutch international has since knuckled down, and seems as dedicated to the cause as anyone. Whilst other names have left the Emirates in search of obscene wages and others have made it clear they would like to do so when the opportunity arises, I think Arsenal fans can rest assured that the impressive striker from Feyenoord will be more than happy to help the Gunners in their search for silverware this coming season.
Do Arsenal fans think that RVP alongside Adebayor is the best strike pairing at the club? Or would a fit-again Eduardo be a better bet for a start?
