Well, Tottenham’s best efforts to re-create a game of FM look set to continue.
The lads over at the Times Online are claiming Spurs are about to pick up extremely talented defender Vedran Corluka from Manchester City for a mere 6.8 million.
With the injury histories of Woodgate and King, as well as the current cloud of confusion surrounding Alan Hutton’s health, Corluka’s ability to play full back and centre back would be perfect for Ramos’ already versatile squad. The lad has also put in some shifts in the midfield holding role for City, a big need for the London club.
One has to wonder why Corluka would come so cheap, though. The club wouldn’t even recoup the original fee and Corluka by many accounts had a solid debut season where he was still settling.
Can any City fans shed some light? Are Spurs fans happy about this potential deal?
