Arsenal man could be heading for £4m exit: Maybe it would be best for both parties?
by Mr Comfort on August 7th, 2008This Gunners full back has been heavily linked with a move to Aston Villa and maybe the time is right for him to leave for a new challenge and first team football.

ASTON Villa are considering a bid to sign Arsenal full-back Justin Hoyte, according to reports.
The Times claims Martin O’Neill is on the lookout for a right-back and Hoyte is leading the list of candidates, with Middlesbrough’s Luke Young the other target.
Hoyte, 23, has struggled to affirm himself at the Emirates, with Bacary Sagna Arsene Wenger’s first choice at right-back, while the French boss also appears to prefer moving Kolo Toure over from the middle of defence as cover.
Hoyte has been sent out on loan to Sunderland in recent seasons and a move to Villa Park may prove attractive, as it represents the opportunity of first-team football. (Waltham Forest Guardian)
Justin Hoyte is unlikely figure prominently at the Emirates this season and given it is now five years since his debut for the club it may well be time he decided to leave the club. Whilst he would obviously love to fight for a place at right back his chances will be limited and the £4m rated 23 year old may have to make the brave decision and tell Arsene that he wants to pursue his footballing career elsewhere as it would probably be the best for all concerned. Do Gunners fans think that Justin has any chance, barring injury, of getting a run in the team?

I think its a good idea if he goes somewhere where he can get first team action, he’s good but just not good enough for us

He should go - he is never going to get consistent first team action.

Yes. I think we should loan him out to Aston Villa, because he said on the Arsenal website that he wants to push Bakary Sagna, and I would like to see him try!

I wouldnt buy him for 4 million its not as if hes a regular premiership player, he never set the plae alight when he went to Sunderland, if the Villa do sign him it would have to be on a appearance based transfer.
If hes not good enough for Arsenal, why his he good enough for Villa? remember hes about 4 th choice at Arsenal at right back, its not as if hes 2nd choice and deserves to be playing every week for them.
Id say hes worth about 1.5 million and thats a gamble at that price

Hopefully we get Luke Young today, hes a tried and tested premiership player who we can use for 3 to 4 years and hopefully Villa will get finnan has back up for him in the Barry transfer.
Leave Hoyte at Arsenal, we can buy a young right back and left back when we can attract the best players when we are in the top 4.

I live in Watford, and when Villa bought Ashley Young for 9 million, me and my mates agreed that he is a great player with great potential but we didnt think he was worth 9 million pounds. . now look at him, England international, great crossing ability and vistion, skill, pace and a good eye for goal.
So I personally believe that Martin O’ Neill sees Hoyte as a player he can develop, okay he isnt experienced but given a good run in the team and under Martin O’Neills watchful eye, I do think he can develop - probably never going to be the best English right back in the premierleague but I think he can prove to be a very reliable one. I wish him the best of luck and think maybe he should go, after all who wants to rot in the reserves - there is always going to be someone younger who will come in ahead of him

how can you ask the question ’should he go’. I’m an Arsenal fan myself and i can admit he is terrible. why does my Martin want him at Villa Park. Luke young as well he’s awful too. he should be going for someone like Finnan
