Arsenal are being linked with another swoop on Marseille with midfielder Lorik Cana said to be the target.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has already snatched Samir Nasri off the French club this summer and now it appears that he is interested in signing Cana.The Albanian international who skippers Marseille, admits that he is considering his future with the club but the Gunners would face competition for his services.
The former PSG man is also attracting interest from Everton and is believed to be rated in the £6million bracket.
Cana has spent the last three years at Marseille, where he has played 95 games, but there is a chance he could be at the Emirates Stadium in time for the start of the new season. (clubcall.com)
25 year old Cana is a quality midfielder who has been instrumental in Marseille’s upturn in fortunes helping them to top three finishes in the past two Ligue 1 campaigns. Arsene is known to be a fan of the Albanian and could see him as an alternative to the likes of Xabi Alonso and Gareth Barry who are both more than a little overpriced in comparison. Do Gunners fans think that this signing would be a better value addition than the Premier League midfielders he has been chasing?

Once again, pie in the sky guesswork!!! There isnt a journo in the world that knows whats in Wenger’s mind, let alone an amateur blog writer like you. More to the point, why has nobody questioned Arsene about the promises he made at the end of last season when he said that he was going to address our weakness in the air in defense, and add an experienced premiership player in the squad and Arsenal fans would be pleasantly surprized in the arrivals to the Emirates in the next 4 weeks, That was eight weeks ago and still we wait. Its very tough for me as an ardent gooner to call Wenger a liar but, every close season he promises to move in to the transfer market, and every year they are empty promises, Once again, Wenger has lied to the clubs loyal fans, and the fans cry out, “In Wenger er trust”. To deserve that accolade, it requires at least the truth!!!!!
