Alan Pardew will have been delighted to secure the services of this player for the long season ahead. The Charlton boss is under pressure to deliver this term, with the Addicks failing to land a top six spot last season, despite challenging at the right end of the table for much of the campaign.
Sky Sports reports that Hameur Bouazza has arrived at The Valley from Fulham, bolstering their attacking options in the process. The Algerian has been an impressive performer for Watford in seasons gone by and he also showed glimmers of talent last season for the Cottagers, despite being injured for many matches.
The Algeria international has signed in time to be available to feature in the Addicks’ opening game of the campaign against Swansea City on Saturday.
Bouazza only joined Fulham from Watford last summer, but struggled with injury during his debut season with the club.
He had also been linked with Wigan Athletic, and Spanish duo Espanyol and Osasuna, but has opted to stay in the capital.
Charlton still look a little light up front, with the likes of Fleetwood and McLeod completely inexperienced at this level. However, their new signing will give them plenty of pace and a few goals thrown in for good measure, as the Addicks look to return to the Premier League at the second time of asking.
