I’m a Liverpool fan, but realistically I think were going to finish 3rd or 4th this season, can’t see any higher. As for tropies, the odd one or two and this is me being optimistic. And yes I am a Liverpool fan before you start to question my creditibilties

As long as Benitez isn’t taking a defensive approach this season…
ideally something like a 4:4:2 or even 4:3:3(I know I am dreaming)…
imagine 2 bulldogs with a taste for goals on either side of Torres.
We go one in Keane… we just need and Joe Cole
I reckon that would just complete us.
F@ck Barry, get Cole!!!

LFC - August 12th, 2008 at 5:54 pm
As a Liverpool fan i would love to say our team would win the league but we will never win it without wingers. Rafa keeps neglecting this and as soon he finally buys a good winger unlike pennant we can become serious contenders for the title and wipe the smurk off every man u supporter out there.

Liverpool will finish the season in close third after losing out in the title chase in the 36th week. They will also take home 1 piece of silverware this season. Also on an intresting note, Gary Neville retires from football this season, after showing no signs of recovery after a Martin Skrtel tackle

To those spurs and villa fans who keep making negative comments and prediction on LFC: May Ramos & MON take your teams to compete each other for the top prize in Championship. Go there, and stop making hell of noise in Premier League.

Liverpox will finish 6th or 7th if torres maintains his form…if not then 8th,
Tottenham, Villa & Portsmouth all have better 1st XI’s and have all improved their squads as well….Liverpool have bought 2nd rate tat.
Loivepox are a 2 player team…gerrard & torres..the rest are average.

If you have read Paul Tomkins book ‘Above us only sky’ like me you will say that the time has come for Liverpool take the berth at the top of English football once more. Any thing after will be a bonus.
Lets go for the treble.

liverpool will finish 1st but in a close title race with man utd.
there CL campaign will suffer as a result and this will mean a quarter final exit.
they won’t give a shit about he league cup as they feel they should let spurs win something again.
they will win the fa cup.
realistic i think.
ohh and aston villa [ mostly there coach ] and man utd are a bunch of kuntz and i hope they get relegated

3rd, 1 (FA Cup). I’m an LFC fan but we won’t compete without the addition of at least 1 top class winger.

4th/5th, I think Spurs put one over on us with Robbie Keane (£20m) in the game with Standard Liege he strugled, his runnig was labour, a fitness problem there for sure. we looked better when Gerrard came on, but would have like to see Pessi off instead just to see how Robbie Keane did with Gerrard. I don’t think we have improved enough, and might be out of the Champions League this time next week. Should have been 3 goals or more down.

It was great to see the ‘new best partnership in the epl’ of keane and torres gel so well against Standard Liege last night
They are going to be so dominant if they play like that
I was really impressed overall with our attacking play
Especially getting 1 shot on target in the 90th minuty from a free kick from the legend gerrard
I’m also glad that the referee’s are still bias towards us, just like in the Quarter Final against Arsenal where Babel dived. Now the opposing team can put the ball over the line and it is still not considered a goal.
I think if we play lattacking football ike we did against Standard Liege then we will probably finish top and take home 2 pieces of silverware.
