Ruthless Juande Ramos has BANISHED five first-team squad players to the reserves and told them they have no future at Spurs.
Kevin-Prince Boateng, Ricardo Rocha, Young-Pyo Lee, Hossam Ghaly and Paul Stalteri have been axed by the Tottenham boss. All five were signed by Martin Jol.
Ramos, stung by defeat at Boro yesterday, is considering new moves to bolster his attack with Dimitar Berbatov on his way out. (The People)
Having already offloaded nine players this summer, albeit including two who hadn’t managed a first-team start, it appears the Spaniard is keen on a total spring clean. It’s not sure where these squad players will end up and in many cases it’s not really surprising. Ghaly, Stalteri and Rocha have barely figured since Jol left. Many will believe that Boateng hasn’t had enough of a chance although he hasn’t impressed me when he has played. Lee is workmanlike but unlikely to get a place in the team given the new signings made by Juande since he arrived. Tottenham have managed the transfer market very well thus far by covering their big-name signings with big-name departures. If they do get some cash for these cast-offs, then they can invest it wisely along with they money they will surely get for Berbs. Do Spurs fans think that any of these five deserve to stay?
