West Ham set to make AMAZING move!

Harry Redknapp will be given the chance to head back to his football home and succeed Alan Curbishley as West Ham manager.
The pressure is mounting on the current Hammers boss.
He is the bookies’ favourite to be the top flight’s first managerial casualty, and Portsmouth’s growing financial problems could see 61-year-old Redknapp ready to review his football future.
West Ham owner Bjorgolfur Gudmundsson is understood to have become frustrated by Curbishley’s excuses that an injury list has undermined results. And senior Hammers players have complained about his coaching methods. (Sunday Mirror)
Now this would be a shocker! Whilst it’s true that many are losing patience with Curbs, both fans and board members alike, would Harry Redknapp leave Portsmouth? I personally think if offered the chance to come back to Upton Park he would find the temptation to continue his love affair with the club too hard to turn down but he would also only do so if he thought the club were an attractive proposition with funds to help improve the squad. But if all of this was indeed in place then I sense he would take the job in an instant. What do Hammers fans think? Would they welcome Harry back and do they think that they should sack their current boss?

I WANT THE JOB!!

I WANT THE JOB !!
Hammer - August 17th, 2008 at 6:24 pm
I think curbs she leave.. Redknapp or Bilic in.. Di Canio might be too inexperienced but nevertheless he would be a better option than Turdishley
Dave - August 17th, 2008 at 6:27 pm
Don’t want Harry, as good as he is - i don’t think he’s the man to get us into the Champs league… As much as i don’t think Curb is the man either, at least give him the funds to prove himself… give him a few months and another signing or two… Redknapp hasn’t exactly propelled Portsmouth into the top 5 with all the money he’s had. Need a to class European manager… like Bilic!!!
Glen roader - August 17th, 2008 at 6:28 pm
ill be more than happy too relegate you *ahem* i mean walk you into europe.

fayo - August 17th, 2008 at 7:08 pm
as long as he isnt going to run down the wing and knock someone over in the far stand then come back please
Dave Hall - August 17th, 2008 at 7:13 pm
Hammer, how can bringing Di Canio in as manager be a better option. He has no experience at this level whatsoever. Maybe bringing him in as a coach or in some other roll, but as manager, no way.
flynn - August 17th, 2008 at 7:20 pm
i dont fink that redknapp would need to come to the club but the temptation of his hometown club might get him at the boleyn anyway i would love to see curbs go he’s to ordinary anyway my dad nows mark noble and apparently when we were playing villareal lucas neill came into the dressing room and started tellin curbs off about the tactics so obviously he has no respect what so ever harry redknaap has turned clubs around immediately when he was at the boleyn he got us into our highest ever position that was 5th and at the time we didnt hav any money so imagine wat he could do wiv money, but we shudnt say curbs shud be sacked because weve just started the season if we r going to sack him see how he does up until december then try n get redknapp then. come on u irons.
Scholari - August 17th, 2008 at 7:24 pm

David Villa - August 17th, 2008 at 7:32 pm

TrevorH - August 17th, 2008 at 7:55 pm
A lot of fans have short memories. Redknapps last season - £18M for Rio, nearly relegated, sacked, fans turned against him. Bilic is a cheat. We need to go forwards, not backwards. If Curbs leaves, lets get a proper manager, not an old biy has been that used to play for us. Neither Redknapp or Bilic would take us forwards. And remember, Redknapp is still being investigated for his fingers in the till.

Englands number 6 - August 17th, 2008 at 9:38 pm
Trevor H is the only one who is talking sense, why the f#+k would we want a manager who told us fans that lampard and rio would be sold over his dead body, by the way portsmouth got spanked 4-0 today and looked shite after spending big bucks this summer, give curbs a chance, he kept us up with the bling boys got rid of the trouble makers, and made 10th place with an injury depleted side. you west ham boo boys are mugs, prob only been watching football for a few years.
Don Revie - August 17th, 2008 at 10:16 pm
I’m more likely than Redknapp !!!
daniel grant - August 17th, 2008 at 11:15 pm
hi my name is daniel i love west ham and i hope redknapp come back and bring an old team back and redknapp come back coz west ham need you
tosser - August 18th, 2008 at 5:31 am
why would you want a 60 year old coach? he’s way too old.
Mervyn Day - August 18th, 2008 at 6:35 am
Ahemmm……
I’m second in line, remember when I was a keeper, it was said I would we West Ham’s keeper for the next 10 years, so now I’m going to be the Manager for the next 10 years
john - August 18th, 2008 at 8:23 am
West Ham 2 Wigan1 Man u1 Newcasle 1 Everton lost spurs lost and you still want curbs out get off his back and give him a chance
Mr Moon - August 18th, 2008 at 8:56 am
Rubbish!
Papers are bored and have nothing to write, so they’re making stuff up.
Harry won’t come back because he has declared his love for life on the South Coast. He’s said before, the East End isn’t what it used to be, all the character has gone. He has businesses down there, houses, family - why would he want to traipse up to Chigwell everyday?
Also, look at the team he’s got there, with one or two exceptions I’d swap our team for Pompey’s any day!
Schteve McLaren - August 18th, 2008 at 9:23 am
Ladsh, I would hope that, how do you shay? have the opportinuties to work with the great Wesht Ham Cloob after learning how to shpeek Dootch.

stew - August 18th, 2008 at 12:28 pm
i can not believe that so many west ham fans want curbs out.
i know pardew was popular but we would have gone down no argument we had lost the plot. curbs saved us against the odds and last year did extremly well to get us in the top half of the table[ahead of spurs lets not forget that people said they would be top 4 last year] yes it was boring football, but as most of his attacking options took the season off sick i really believe he did well…give him a chance he has earned it big time.
just remember everyone wanted sven out look what happened there….
Marc - August 18th, 2008 at 12:45 pm
What happened with Sven Stew? Not sure I get your point?
cc - August 18th, 2008 at 5:53 pm
