Arsenal manager tells boo-boys to stop harassing his sulking striker: Every player needs to feel wanted!
by offsidetrap on August 19th, 2008Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has it out for the entire lot at Arsenal! After being part of the majority this summer that fully believed Emmanuel Adebayor was a two-faced Arsenal backstabber, it appears the Frenchman has now had a change of heart. He wants Arsenal supporters to get back on the Adebayor bandwagon at once!
The boo-boys again let their feelings be known at times in the opening match of the Barclays Premier League season against West Brom on Saturday.
However, Wenger sees no reason why the striker should not receive the full backing of everyone.
He said: ‘We have to get behind him and support him because he is a tremendous force and (is of) tremendous importance for the team - you want your own fans to be behind him.
‘What happened in the transfer period did not always reflect his deep desire and there was manipulation from agents on both sides, but overall I am positive he will recover.’
Wenger added: ‘Every player needs to feel wanted.
‘I think he is settled in his own mind. He has given a lot in the first two games.’ (Daily Mail)
Let this be a lesson to you that even sulking strikers like Emmanuel Adebayor need to feel wanted. He has feelings and a heart! Or at least that’s what Wenger wants you to believe. After making it clear that he wanted nothing to do with Arsenal this summer, the big Togo striker has been trying like hell to win the support over once again. Arsene Wenger fully believes that it’s time for the entire Arsenal lot to get behind him. But do Arsenal supporters really want to let him back in after the mess he caused this summer?
Will you ever be able to look at Emmanuel Adebayor the same way again? How long will it take before the boo-boys stop making him feel like the lowest rung on the totem pole?

That wanker doesn’t deserve anything from us supporters…… especially if he keeps playing the way he is…….. his terrible decision-making and bad first touch were tolerable last season, but after this summer’s antics, every foot put wrong will incur the wrath of the Arsenal Faithful…. its going to take a lot more than badge kissing I’ll tell you that much.

Get a life - have you never tried to improve your pay? Everyone wants to earn more but you dont have the newspapers printing rubbish and agents making comments. Give him a chance and trust Wenger.

He is a dick, and tried to do one on us in the summer, so he deserves the stick he has been given; but the guy has signed his contract and we are stuck with him like it or not. He has obviosly got the message, time to get behind him again so he can do the business.

Poor Ade, his oversensitive ego cant handle a litlle bit off booing even though he spent the entire summer shafting the Arsenal faithfull.Luckily his gold encrusted ego got a pay rise or he would probably still be sulking.

Just like how the summer is behind us, we should put the incident behind us. Yes Ady’s behavior in the way he went about getting a raise was very inappropriate. But he has signed a long term contract with our club. He’s a Gunner! We need him to be playing at his best! I don’t see how booing him is going to motivate him to score goals for us. From what I hve seen, he’s been working hard to get Arsenal’s fans behind. I figure, those who want him doing well will encourage him! Those(spur fans) who don’t want him to do well, will boo him! But one thing I’m sure of, if Ady does well, then Arsenal will benefit!!!

for anonymous : “Get a life - have you never tried to improve your pay? Everyone… ” One question for you, have you ever try to improve your pay by lying and act of dis honesty, if so. then what is missing from your life is a booing.
Ade knew and like for what his agent is doing.
Ade give the approve his agent motive when the Adidas press conference.
Ade then claim that he never read newspaper, internet, telephone and such ever during the summer period.

Arsene, we are all booing him because we do not want him playing for Arsena.
He simply isn’t good anough. We are sick of seeing him chase after his own shaddow!
Please do not play him anymore!
Oh, yes we also hate him for the way he treated the Arsenal fans!

ok, for one adebayor never had any intention of leaving arsenal, the rumours of him leaving were jus made up journo bullshit…he always intended to stay at arsenal , he said that at the end of last season and all through pre-season… so anyone hating because of his supposed disloyalty should think again.
secondly, yes he was greedy for demanding extreme wage increases, but at the time most of the arsenal players were mulling over whether they should get higher wages at arsenal because of the boards strict wage structure, so wasn’t just him.. just he was more speculated about because of his fake rumours of a transfer to another club( once again more journo bullshit)
and lastly, yes adebayor has had a bad pre-season and occasionally he can look ‘ordinary’ but give him time n he can only get better.. and to improve on 30 goals last season is a big ask so expectation is heavy on his shoulders.. jus let him play his football, i think he has great talent and could be world class… wenger has seen something in him, thats good enough for me.
