FOUR FLOPS that Liverpool, Arsenal, Spurs and Manchester United should AXE!
by Mr Comfort on August 19th, 2008Every club has them, even the cream of the crop, and here are four individuals who are simply not good enough to represent clubs of this stature!
Andriy Voronin (Liverpool)
A very real disappointment to the Anfield faithful who were made to wait a while before the Ukrainian finally made his move from Bayer Leverkusen. Started brightly enough but has got slowly and steadily worse since. He is now surely only days away from leaving, unless of course he prefers to continue to sit in the stands collecting his pay cheque as a place on the bench seems pretty unlikely also.
Where could he end up: Borussia Dortmund
Nicklas Bendtner (Arsenal)
Now Nicklas isn’t a flop as such but currently he just doesn’t cut the mustard and shouldn’t be a first team starter at the Emirates. He has rarely had a good showing in an Arsenal shirt but is young enough to be given time to improve. Best off loaning him out to the a lower level Premier League side like Middlesbrough. The no do Great Dane is a player who I always look to impress but invariably seems to do little and wastes chance after chance.
Where could he end up: Out on loan and then sold at the end of the season to Blackburn or another UEFA Cup level side.
Louis Saha (Manchester United)
Brought in to Old Trafford for a fee in excess of 12m, but injury and poor form has left him managing just 43 premier league starts in 4 seasons. The former Fulham man has seemingly consistently failed in the big matches he has been involved in, and is now a player that Sir Alex would dearly like to sell off, but who will take a 30-year-old injury-plagued past-it striker?
Where could he end up: Back at Fulham?
Michael Dawson (Tottenham)
At Premier League level, it’s not enough to give 100%. You also have to have a fair amount of intelligence and even skill (that goes for centre backs also). This former Nottingham Forest man gives it his all on most match days, but that doesn’t seem to prevent the obligatory loss of concentration or error that tends to lead to a goal. Simply not good enough for a Spurs side aiming for a top four spot.
Where could he end up: Has just signed a new long term contract so probably reserves and bench warming.
Are there other flops that you wish to name and shame?

Agree with you on Voronin, waste of space, especially after those comments he made about Liverpool!
Alan - August 19th, 2008 at 5:39 pm
Bendtner is not good enough at the moment and i think he should be loaned out for the season because he just can’t start matches succesfully. As a sub he can have an impact but most of the time when he starts he does nothing and gets subbed after an hour during which time he has normally missed about five sitters!
spurfect one - August 19th, 2008 at 5:43 pm
your right about dawson complete liability.
Messiah - August 19th, 2008 at 5:44 pm
I don’t think Bendtner should leave, Arsenals weakness is lack of depth and getting rid of players isn’t the right way to solve that problem. Luis Saha has been great for United when he’s played but injuries have ruined what could’ve been a United legend. Veronin, well Liverpool fans are split on him, he’s actually not THAT bad of a player but with Keane and Torres I cannot really seeing him offering something they don’t.
Dawson, well there’s room for improvement, he’s not the only bad defender there but along the right players he could blossom into a great defender.
George - August 19th, 2008 at 5:47 pm
Is this some sort of joke? Bendtner is one of the most highly-rated youngsters in Europe right now. Eboue on the other hand…
hr - August 19th, 2008 at 5:47 pm
bendtner isnt a flop…..who wrote this garbage
Pedro - August 19th, 2008 at 5:50 pm
Football is not really your thing, is it - as chairman Mao once said “no knowledge, no comment”
George - August 19th, 2008 at 5:54 pm
Pedro, are you talking to the writer of the article or me?
somerset yid - August 19th, 2008 at 5:58 pm
more importantly than getting rid of dawson… is getting rid of JENAS!!!!!
my god how can he still be in the side and get picked for the england squad. am i missing something here? then offload dawson….
Gris - August 19th, 2008 at 6:00 pm
Daws plays with the heart of a lion but makes too many crucial mistakes for this level.
Seems to play much better when alongside Ledley King or does Ledley just make Daw’s look good?
Juande needs to sit Daw’s for a while & then maybe he will realise that he has to be much, much better if he is going to command a starting place.
I would’nt want to see him go as I think he can improve & Spurs presently need the back up at that position.
Blackstock - August 19th, 2008 at 6:00 pm
Last season Nicklas Bendtner scored 9 goals in 23 appearances. Not bad for a 20 year old who is usually used as a substitute. His goals often come at crucial moments too, such as equalizers or match winners in extra time.
Spurt - August 19th, 2008 at 6:01 pm
Bendtner …….doesn’t fit in system
Voronin……….flatters to decieve
Saha, …………oh dear.
Dawson………Needs a lot of time!
ray - August 19th, 2008 at 6:05 pm
YES YOU ARE RIGHT
BENDTNER IS NOT A GOOD DEFENDER OK FOR A SUB
VERONIN MAKES MISTAKES
SAHA HE LOSES A LOT OF BALLS
DAWSON SINCE THE INJURY HE IS NOT THE SAME.
Arsenal - August 19th, 2008 at 6:07 pm
“BENDTNER IS NOT A GOOD DEFENDER OK FOR A SUB”
What possessed you to even comment when you clearly know nothing about the player?
paul H - August 19th, 2008 at 6:09 pm
your wrong about voronin, im a liverpool fan and what you seem to be forgetting is he was FREE, he scored 11 goals last season, and has started pre season in fine form.
i like voronin and as a 4th striker there is prob noone better available.
Arsenal - August 19th, 2008 at 6:09 pm
BENDTNER IS NOT A GOOD DEFENDER OK FOR A SUB-I disagree. Him and Saha could make a godd cb partnership! lol
paul H - August 19th, 2008 at 6:10 pm
your wrong about voronin, im a liverpool fan and what you seem to be forgetting is he was FREE, he scored 11 goals last season, and has started pre season in fine form.
i like voronin and as a 4th striker there is prob noone better available.
you guys need to get off his case, and i bet the poster isnt even a liverpool fan so what would he know
G4L - August 19th, 2008 at 6:10 pm
WENGER SHOULD SELL BENDTNER AND GET A DECENT DEFENDER ,HE COST US A RUNNERS UP PLACE COS OF HIS MISTAKES.
mydeejay - August 19th, 2008 at 6:11 pm
Bendtner is really not that bad, but should not play alongside adebayor, and won’t when (if) R.V.P is fit, i can think of far worse players like Eboue and Senderous.
Saha has had bad luck, maybe he should join Spurs at least he will have King and Woodgate to keep him company.
Veronin has been poor, but not given a real chance, and with Keane and Torres, i don’t see that chance coming any time soon.
Dawson was great when he first came to Spurs, but needs a leader alongside him, like King, but King staying fit for 15 games in a row is almost as bad as saying Spurs will break into the top 4.!!!!
ahg - August 19th, 2008 at 6:14 pm
Bendtner is good, is young but I like him a lot and has had a fine pre-season.
He will become a really great player in a few years.
THE FLOP WHO SHOULD LEAVE IS EBOUE YOU KNOB
RAVEON - August 19th, 2008 at 6:21 pm
I THINK BENDTNER IS OKAY WITH ARSENAL, IF THEY KEEP PLAYERS LIKE SONDEROS AND EBOUE, BUT IF HE HAD TO PLAY FOR UNT OR POOL OR CHELSEA NO WAY THEY WILL PLAY HIM.
DAWSON IS A GOOD PLAYER IF PLAYED ALONGSIDE KING, AND I RECKON IF KING STAYS FIT IN ALL SPURS GAMES THEY WILL FINISH IN THE TOP FOUR.
SAHA I RECKON HE SHOULD JOIN ARSENAL ,HE WOULD BE OKAY WITH ADEBAYOU,HE NEEDS A GOOD PARTNER.
LIVERPOOL SHOULD GIVE VERONIN FULL MATCHES I THINK HE HAS SOME SKILS.
dev - August 19th, 2008 at 6:21 pm
if there is a player arsenal needs to get rid of is R V Persie. i know most of you would say he is class. the fact is hes has not done anything the past 4-5 years yet he gets chance after chance. yes he scores the odd spectacular goals and thats is the only reason people think he will explode soon….keep dreaming!!! he has done jackshit expect get himself injured every 3 seconds. potential is one thing but to wait for it to happen year after year shows arsenal’s stupidity
Radek Mazurek - August 19th, 2008 at 6:22 pm
What are you on G4L?
Poor Spuds - August 19th, 2008 at 6:24 pm
If Bendtner is a flop then what do u call guys like eboue n senderos????
Voronin aint as bad as he’s made out to be…
saha dint get enough games so he cant be deemed a flop…
as far as t spuds r concerned… ahem…. well…. y corner poor dawson when t whole squad is filled with pathetic FLOPS???
cr3zyid125 - August 19th, 2008 at 6:27 pm
i think dawson okay he will improve with time
Veronin poor player by liverpool standard
Saha walking sick report
Bendtnner waste of time not a premier league player
football is all about opiinions and there mine
S4E - August 19th, 2008 at 6:28 pm
AS FAR AS FLOPS ARE CONCERN LOOK NO FURTHER ,,,ARSENIL THEY ARE PATHETIC..
Sam - August 19th, 2008 at 6:32 pm
y is Eboue not there hes far worst thn Bentner i think he just needs to get older n stronger but cmon eboue is just awfull
he is not fitt to wear that shirt
united 4 life - August 19th, 2008 at 6:33 pm
such a load of crap!!!!!! john o shea is uniteds flop
Josh - August 19th, 2008 at 6:34 pm
Dawson shouldnt be given such a bad rap! Hes young and i seem to remember when ledley king was young he also used to make alot of mistakes! Ramos wouldnt have offered him a new deal if he didnt think he was capable of the job, hes not one for beating about the bush when it comes to getting rid of who he thinks isnt good enough!
Alex - August 19th, 2008 at 6:38 pm
Being a Spurs fan, We would like any striker at the moment and all 3 of them would get a game in front of Bent, who’s been the biggest flop since Rebrov or Paulo Tremmazzani or whatever his name was.
Dawson is a good player and we need to stick with him, as he’s got potential.
Jenas is the player that should have been shown the door and how dare Ramos give him the captaincy. Why Oh why do we keep someone who is so overated?
ur mum - August 19th, 2008 at 6:39 pm
voronin was free
dicko - August 19th, 2008 at 6:56 pm
looks like you’ve redesigned yourselves to look more like Ole Ole….haha. Writing’s on the wall COF….
£!!! - August 19th, 2008 at 7:10 pm
voronin isnt the player that he was at bayer
must be his long hair gettin in his way
dawson wil improve if he can
bendter (bento) cant do much just a lanky piece of poo
saha , well has had his days like ronaldo
yeah - August 19th, 2008 at 7:11 pm
eboue is the arsenal flop, he is kind of like john o’shea and darren fletcher at united, nobody knows why wenger keeps him around or plays him. we do know that when he gets the chance he ‘ll end end up mindlessly tackling an opponent.
dawson is horrible. tom huddles, and ledley king were on the bench sat, no?
bendtner is 20 but does not complement adebayor
saha will leave leaving manu with fletcher and o’shea to flop
Voronin is not a flop. he plays behind torres, keane and kuyt. barry will be their flop
what about chelsea????
Shevchenko…pizzaro, malouda
Mr Comfort - August 19th, 2008 at 7:14 pm
If i had a brain i’d be dangerous
Homer - August 19th, 2008 at 7:28 pm
hardly rocket science was it?
David Villa - August 19th, 2008 at 7:32 pm
Half of Liverpool’s squad are flops. If we sold all of them we could then buy some good players to go with our starting 11 (not Kuyt or Arbeloa though). Shevchenko is a HUGE flop considering his price.
carra23 - August 19th, 2008 at 7:49 pm
i agree with paul h… voronin gets some unjustified stick… he’s hardly played any football since hes been at liverpool due to torres and injuries. which he can hardly help. even despite this he has scored a few goals…. his ratio to minutes on the pitch can’t be that bad!
Postmodernist - August 19th, 2008 at 8:07 pm
I thought Liverpool’s flop might have been Benitez.
stu - August 19th, 2008 at 8:20 pm
i agree with the Robin v Persie quote is is so overratted. if you watch an Arsenal match u wud nt even know he was on the pitch!!! Yes he has scored some magical goals but that was against lesser teams like Charlton, Blackburn etc.He has never scored against the big 4 or Spurs and then he has the cheek to suggest that Wenger should Increase wages!!! Arsenal fans it time to wake up and stop givin this flop such a good reception . every match Arsenal fans think he will change a game and never does im really fed up of this waster and if Gooners disagree they need their heads checked!
gooney - August 19th, 2008 at 8:22 pm
one thing this article is missing is that if a player is not playing regularly their form will drop ..
I think bendtner will be an awesome player for us, and is already quite good albeit inconsistent (which is common with youth) .. so, u are wrong there.
Saha is a great player, but has injury problems .. so, I would hardly call him a flop.
Voronin is also a hardworking and good player .. just plays for the wrong team ..
Everything needs a dawson, an o’shea, a senderos, etc .. a backup defender who keeps the first choice CBs on their toes and fills in when they are injured.
So, your article is piss-poor ..
Cristabel - August 19th, 2008 at 8:26 pm
Are you out of your mind? Bendtner is a super player!
Not only have you got this one wrong, you have got it so wrong that it put anything else you write about football in question. Bendtner is 20, he has one of the best conversion rates in the premiership (check the stats) can score with shots, tap ins, headers. Can play as a second or primary striker and is very strong. He’s 20! Do you know what Drogba, Van Nistelrooy, Adebayor or Inzaghi were like at 20?
Nowhere near!
Jrgen - August 19th, 2008 at 8:54 pm
bitch , are you smooking reefer?? bendtner is not a flop, he is arsenal’s biggest talent after fabregas and walcott!
baz - August 19th, 2008 at 9:05 pm
bendtner is a great player, he scored a fantastic header for spurs !!!
pinky - August 19th, 2008 at 9:18 pm
Bentner has the potential to be a different class to the other 3. How you can use him as an Arsenal flop is beyond belief.. Poor research from a poor journalist imho.
anon - August 19th, 2008 at 9:19 pm
please please please change the arsenal one to fucking emanuel eboue, fucking useless, must be wengers love child or something.
Anonymous - August 19th, 2008 at 9:22 pm
Bentner is a gaylord
Smudger - August 19th, 2008 at 10:05 pm
Bendtner?! If anyone actually read your articles this would definitely come back to bite you on the arse. A regular for his country with a goal every 2.5 games and one off double figures in all competitions last season despite only featuring for 20mins in most matches. All this at 20 years old. It’s quite worrying that you write football articles despite a glaring lack of knowledge. No doubt you have another blog where you give your uneducated opinion on nuclear physics and brain surgery.
Trampy - August 20th, 2008 at 1:43 am
It pains me to say this, but as a Spurs fan I will need to go commit suicide after saying this…Bendtner is a very accomplished player for his age. Whenever he comes on I immediately look at the bookies’ odds he’ll score and he’s done my £5 stake proud on many an occasion. Wenger would be stupid to let him go.
As for Dawson…um, yes great start to his career given he had no match practice and come in straight from being injured, however, he’s only as good as the man next to him it seems and he does need to have a strong partner. A keep for the future.
Voronin looks like a man trapped. Whenever he does come on the pitch he tries too hard to impress. I think this is due to him knowing he’s being scrutinised more than most. When he pulls it off, he’s class, but only people like Ronaldo pull of their tricks regularly. Needs to move elsewhere for his own sake.
Saha. Like him. Shame he’s been plagued with injuries. He had the potential, but not his fault he’s United’s Anderton. Scores some cracking goals too. Should move to a mid-table team ASAP.
Ben - August 20th, 2008 at 2:39 am
this article is a load of shit. Dawson is good enough to replace king or woodgate and is capable of filling their boots. a lot of premier league sides would gladly have him in their team, including spurs. Ramos knows what hes doing, im glad the boy signed a new contract.
charles - August 20th, 2008 at 5:49 am
wat u sayin bendtner is gud who eva wrote this is an arsenal hater he wasn’t playin in as many games but scored more than gerald
FabulousFabregas - August 20th, 2008 at 5:57 am
This is what i think should Arsenal get rid of.
1) Eboue
2) Eboue
3) Eboue
4) Eboue
seb - August 20th, 2008 at 6:12 am
any of you retards slating Eboue, try watching him for a whole game instead of just focussing on the times he loses the ball or shoots wide or whatever. He is a phenomenal athlete, can go past his man regularly, tackles back, knows our passing game inside out, and is versatile. Yes his final ball is still lacking sometimes but he has improved on that front no end, as well as curbing his tendencies to dive/cheat. People are still judging him on things that happened in past seasons.
The biggest flop at the moment at Arsenal is Theo, no question.
Harry Barracuda - August 20th, 2008 at 6:43 am
But where are the other ten totteringham flops?
Bergs - August 20th, 2008 at 7:20 am
Nic came on against Wigan with 10min to go and set up both goals to let us draw out a game at home. His passing, vision and intelligence (bar defending for Liverpool) are Bergkamp-like, and we may find he is more DB than TH - but a Gooner nonetheless.
Bergs
4tune emeka - August 20th, 2008 at 7:26 am
seb, i support your quest to support eboue but pls what were u drinkin wen u said walcott was our greatest flop. Walcott may not be perfect for full games but hes the best ’super sub’ in the world. Eboue is adjustin to a nu position(right midfield) and needs time.
senderos is my first choice for a flop. If u watch arsenal vs stuttgart, u’ll actually see bendtner. arsenal vs ajax; eboue got two assists, changing the score from 0-2 to2-2. Eboue is d best crosser in the epl so give him a chance.
chris - August 20th, 2008 at 7:58 am
“BENDTNER IS NOT A GOOD DEFENDER OK FOR A SUB-I disagree. Him and Saha could make a godd cb partnership! lol”
Would probably work for Spurs.
CZQ - August 20th, 2008 at 8:06 am
I THINK THIS IS ALL BULLSHIT….
VORONIN
needs time to adapt to the fast paced premier league, what can you expect?
BENDTNER
plays fantastically at Arsenal… Even saved a few points for Arsenal next season
SAHA
if not for the injury, he will be a super sub for manure
DAWSON
a true sh*tass
LondonGooner - August 20th, 2008 at 9:17 am
What mug reckons Brendtner isn’t good enough??? He scored 12 goals last season, how old is he? How many starts did he get? How many weakened teams did he play in? The other 3 players don’t have a patch o Brendtner in terms of age, ability and goal scoring. Dumb to include him.
Allahs boot - August 20th, 2008 at 9:19 am
Pennant is a dick flop.Atleast voronin was a bosman signing.
marty - August 20th, 2008 at 11:02 am
saha is not a flop he has just been plagued with injury, i think he is a great asset on the odd occasion when he is fit and i think his goal to game record shows that. if only he could find the fitness and form that lead to ruud being pushed to the bench (and eventual arrogance that pushed him to madrid).
there is no room for dawson now and should go to a lower prem side where his experience will be coverted.
bentner is inconsistant but still get the odd important goal unlike vornin who simply just doesnt cut it at a top 4 side.
Dave - August 20th, 2008 at 11:07 am
I am a Spurs fan, and I agree with LondonGooner. Bendnter is still developing, a star of the future imo, although I hate to admit it. Whoever wrote this article does not know much about football. Dawson is a scapegoat at the moment, good squad player imo always gives 100%, and will get better with time, he is only 22 ff sake.I would rather have him than buy another Rocha.
Anonymous - August 20th, 2008 at 11:28 am
bentner play same role as adebayor.
dbp - August 20th, 2008 at 11:32 am
“football is all about opiinions and there mine”
actually, football is a sport.
Anyone who thinks Bendtner isn’t quality needs to watch him play. He’s got size, pace, touch and is a quality finisher. He is also excellent with link play, which is why he is perfect with Adebayor, as it allow Ade to push wide or be a target for through balls.
Similiarly, anyone complaining about eboue mustn’t have seen him play in central midfield on the weekend. Considering its the third position hes played in, in 3 years, not a bad effort. He’s not a first team starter ideally, but hes a brillaint squad man.
Senderos is one of the best Centre-halfs going round for his age. Ppl have short memories, and forget his brilliant work beside Toure in the Champions League run of 05/06.
Ben - August 20th, 2008 at 11:46 am
Will totally agree with the voronin one, but not sure about bentdner he could be good.
immy - August 20th, 2008 at 11:52 am
maybe they should sack the guy who wrote this bullshit article. u muppet
tezza the yid - August 20th, 2008 at 12:05 pm
i think people should give dawson a chance as on his day he can be outstanding, you cant judge him at the moment as all our defenders are playing rubbish! lets hope we get anton!
Ray Gatt - August 20th, 2008 at 12:47 pm
George, Pedro is not talking but writing.
TP - August 20th, 2008 at 12:48 pm
Bendtner is a complete mug, as bad as Eboue and Senderos. You can hope all you want that he’s going to improve but it’s NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN!…and I support Arsenal!
Ray Gatt - August 20th, 2008 at 12:51 pm
I would sell Bentner and get Ian Wright back.
Gary - August 20th, 2008 at 12:52 pm
tezza, what are you on about? Give Dawson a chance? he’s had quite a few! did you go to any games last season? he cant defend and all he does is play is kick the ball from the right back side to the left winger and it never works! its fans like you that give real football fans a bad name!
Ray Gatt - August 20th, 2008 at 12:53 pm
Spurs should get rid of Dawson. He’s too eratic. Get Sol Campbell.
SFE - August 20th, 2008 at 1:04 pm
WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT RAY GATT. SOL CAMPBELL IS PAST IT NOW,ONE OF THE REASON ARSENIL SOLD HIM,INFACT WE SELL ALL OUR REJECTS TO PORTSNOUTH.
GUNNER - August 20th, 2008 at 1:06 pm
RAY GATT FUCK OFF AND GO BACK TO YOUR SHITTY ISLAND YOU TALK RUBBISH.
islington Yid - August 20th, 2008 at 2:06 pm
Have to agree with comments about dawson, have been saying it for years. As an honest a pro as you can get,the sort of guy that would sacrifice 5 grand a week to be as good as Terry or woodgate, however for all his endeavour he has no balance or poise and is often found wanting.Lovely guy though!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
RAYSPURS - August 20th, 2008 at 2:11 pm
DAWSON IS OK AS LONG THERE IS KING PLAYING BEHIND HIM, WHEN HE PLAYS WITHOUT KING HE IS RUBBISH I KNOW HE TRIES BUT HE LOSES CONFIDENCE.
RAYSPURS - August 20th, 2008 at 2:13 pm
HOW CAN YOU GET RID OF JENAS WHEN HE IS CALLED FOR INTERNATIONAL DUTIES”?
kk - August 20th, 2008 at 2:59 pm
i think saha’s last injury was straining his wrist while signing a contract
Paul - August 20th, 2008 at 3:46 pm
what an Idiot!!!! Bendtner is one of the most highly rated youngsters in Europe. if arsenal should get rid of anyone it should be Eboue!!!!!
VanGooner - August 20th, 2008 at 4:35 pm
Why do I even bother reading you….
Never Mind - August 20th, 2008 at 4:51 pm
All the eboue bashers out there lay off him he’s not as bad a everbody make out.
And when i write “everybody” i mean people who know notting about the game just like the guy who wrote this artical
Bendtner,Saha,Voronin, okay maybe dawson, Bad players what is he playing LMA Manager on the PS2 go buy Football manager for your stories you Twat, at least you can write something a little more to real life, Any ways going back to the Eboue and Senderos Bashers what the fuck they never played football in there lifes, Now i am not saying that these players a world class but if wenger and even Fergie (John O Shea) keep these players they must have something good about them.
Note: Liverpool will destroy Robbie Keane because they play the worst football
Headline for the guy who worte this : I would rather watch HULL then watch Liverpool.
Just a hint Arsenal will win the EPL this year Spurs finish 10th Later FUCKERS
Jo - August 20th, 2008 at 4:54 pm
Bendtner sucks he should be playing for a third division team!!!
stopper - August 20th, 2008 at 5:18 pm
Bendtner is very impressive in the little time he actually gets to play…
He holds the ball up well & is really good in the air.
I prefer him to Adebayor and was actually looking forward to him getting more of a starring role this season…
sadly we kept Ade
Arsene Wenger - August 20th, 2008 at 5:46 pm
What a load of drivel.
Saha is a great sub, and has scored vital goals for Man U.
Bendtner has never had a run in the first team.
Voronin never got a chance.
I love the advertising below the post that says ’show some bollocks and bet a free £25 here’, endorsed by Caught OffSide. Erm, OK THEN I’M NOT A CHICKEN I’LL SIGN UP AND BET MY MONEY BECAUSE BETTERS ALWAYS WIN, THAT’s WHY GAMBLERS HAVE LOADS OF MONEY AND BETTING COMPANIES ARE DOING SHI…. oh wait.
The sad truth is that I, and all you other clowns on here can’t resist clicking these worthless hollow threads.
Real list of wasted players: Senderos, Senderos, Senderos and Senderos again.
Powelly - August 21st, 2008 at 7:30 am
Love Dawson where he is, stuffing up the Spurs defence. Please play him every game Wendy Ramarse he is a joy to watch as he scuppers Top 4 Tottenham’s chances every match
Jai - August 21st, 2008 at 9:05 am
Eboue should not be at Arsenal.
As a Arsenal fan i have followed them for ever, living only ten mins away from highbury.
Arsenal have kept up with Man U since Wenger arrived with only the income of a 38 000 seater stadium and the huge profits on his genius transfer market tatics,Chelsea are a top 2 club but only with their financial power, they will be something to worry about now as big phil is a very good manager but i will say the Prem is hard so time will tell. I did think Spurs were going to be better this year but 1 game down and they didnt look anything like their pre season but again time will tell
I dont understand why people give Arsenal players the stick that they do, as its Arsenal who have to fight off the likes of Barc and madrid and ac for our players.
If they are that shite why do the best clubs in the world want them.
At Arsenal we have a system that keeps us in Europe and the top 4, which is a position any club would want to be in.
The thing is we are never happy and always want more . yes we need to win things but as long as we keep to our system we will.
I have nothing but respect and trust in Wenger

To be fair, the league is chock full of average players who flatter to deceive - but I’m loving how poor Cashley Cole was last year for serious money - also Glen Johnson was a pricey player for Chelski before they offloaded him - and what about SW Phillips - surely the lad deserves more than a bench warming place - he’d be amazing at Liverpool, Arsenal, Man City (ahem) Blackburn etc. What was he 23m squid?
There are relatively few who literally sparkle in the Ronaldo, Fabragas, Berbatov, Torres, Drogba, Gerrard class.
One player who doesn’t look a flop though is Deco - phhheeew, it looks like he’s playing with his hands - the boy’s much better than I thought he was - he could be the difference for them this year.
Silvestre to retain the title?

Bendtner? You can’t be serious. He is one of the most talented young strikers in Europe. Good physique and overall skills. He is going to set the PL alight either this season or next. Selling him will be a huge mistake. It would be better to sell the greedy Adebayor. Now there’s a player who needs a million sitters to score once.
Saha…good player, but mentally week. I simply don’t believe he is injured that much. He needs to see a shrink instead of a physio.
Voronin…utter crap…’but he was free’…yes just like utter crap like Zenden, Pellegrino, Degen and others. What’s the point? They just take a spot from younger prospects.
Dawson…Championship player at best. Constant liability

My flop prediction:
Man Utd: Currently I don’t really see any. Maybe Kuszcszczszak, but I don’t think Ferguson ever intended to use him as first choice. Foster is far better.
Arsenal: Again I don’t see any obvious flops. Senderos has been inconsistent, but he is still young, so that is to be expected. The player who disappoints me most is Adebayor. He plays in the team that creates most chances on the planet and I think he misses far too many, especially against big teams. Very overrated and a greddy idiot to add to that.
Chelsea: Malouda, Sidwell, Ben Haim, SWP, Sheva, Pizarro…but they can afford it.
Liverpool: Benitez, Parry, Gillett, Hicks…Pennant, Benayoun, Voronin…next Dossena, Keane and Degen.

Bendtner sucks.
- argues with adebayor
- waste chances
- selfish
- block fab’s shot as it was about to go in
- scores own goals
need more?
Eboue is just as bad.
- over dribbles
- no end product
- diving cheating scumbag
Adebayor is the 3rd person we need to get rid off
- offside king
- always dancing the most horribly after scoring
- can’t shoot properly
