Every club has them, even the cream of the crop, and here are four individuals who are simply not good enough to represent clubs of this stature!

Andriy Voronin (Liverpool)

A very real disappointment to the Anfield faithful who were made to wait a while before the Ukrainian finally made his move from Bayer Leverkusen. Started brightly enough but has got slowly and steadily worse since. He is now surely only days away from leaving, unless of course he prefers to continue to sit in the stands collecting his pay cheque as a place on the bench seems pretty unlikely also.

Where could he end up: Borussia Dortmund

Nicklas Bendtner (Arsenal)

Now Nicklas isn’t a flop as such but currently he just doesn’t cut the mustard and shouldn’t be a first team starter at the Emirates. He has rarely had a good showing in an Arsenal shirt but is young enough to be given time to improve. Best off loaning him out to the a lower level Premier League side like Middlesbrough. The no do Great Dane is a player who I always look to impress but invariably seems to do little and wastes chance after chance.

Where could he end up: Out on loan and then sold at the end of the season to Blackburn or another UEFA Cup level side.

Louis Saha (Manchester United)

Brought in to Old Trafford for a fee in excess of 12m, but injury and poor form has left him managing just 43 Premier League starts in 4 seasons. The former Fulham man has seemingly consistently failed in the big matches he has been involved in, and is now a player that Sir Alex would dearly like to sell off, but who will take a 30-year-old injury-plagued past-it striker?

Where could he end up: Back at Fulham?

Michael Dawson (Tottenham)

At Premier League level, it’s not enough to give 100%. You also have to have a fair amount of intelligence and even skill (that goes for centre backs also). This former Nottingham Forest man gives it his all on most match days, but that doesn’t seem to prevent the obligatory loss of concentration or error that tends to lead to a goal. Simply not good enough for a Spurs side aiming for a top four spot.

Where could he end up: Has just signed a new long term contract so probably reserves and bench warming.

Are there other flops that you wish to name and shame?
