Tottenham are getting ready to off-load midfielder Kevin Prince Boateng before the transfer window closes at the end of the month.

Boateng was signed by Martin Jol from German outfit Hertha Berlin last summer but has not impressed new boss Juande Ramos and looks to be heading for the exit door.

The former Spurs boss, who is now in charge of Hamburg, is believed to be interested in re-signing him

Boateng was one of the last signings that former boss Martin Jol made and, when he arrived, many had hoped he would be a signing of real promise. However, that potential is yet to be fulfilled and he hasn’t figured too much in the club’s plans since Juande took over from the Dutchman.

Its no surprise that Hamburg have made their interest known. as BMJ has apparently been linked with a handful of his former charges. No doubt the German Under-21 international would be keen for a Bundesliga return, as it could boost his chances of a first full cap. He is unlikely to make much more of an impact at White Hart Lane, so I would expect he would leave the club as soon as a bid in the region of £4m is made, which is a very fair price for a young player with potential.

Have Spurs fans been in the slightest bit impressed with the Prince?
