None of the name on the list come from Real Madrid current squad. Ha Ha Ha…. That’s identify how suck this team is really are….
From the name above, it’s clearly identify how great and strong the English Premier League is at the moment. For Real Madrid, I’m so sorry to say that your success in the past will be history, but in present time, you are no longer even for being one of the best team…. Ha Ha Ha…..

Ronaldo will get the award. Messi will get second place. The twat who has commented that madrid’s sucess is history knows nothin. Madrid will always challenge for major honours. Man United will win the champions league again.

Cech
Ferdinand
Essien
Torres
Real Madrid wont do as well this year even with casillas in goal. EPL will dominate in the Champions League again only to challenge each other.

I think this has shown that the english premier league is to be reckoned with. i will be surprised if one of the players from the english club doesn’t win it. Gone are those days when no player from the english league wins it even when players like thiery henry deserved it.
My only reservation on the selection is the fact that adebayo’s name was not included in the nominees. All the same i think ronaldo deserve to win it followed by torres and then fabrigas.

GK VAN DER SAR OR REINA
DF PUYOL OR FERDINARD
MID GERRARD OR FABREGAS
ATT TORRES OR MESSI OR RONALDO

LOL anonymous u really narrowed down the field didnt you! you just picked all the ebst ones, as opposed to making a proper estimation, theres only 1 award overall, not 9!
Ronaldo will get it, but i hope Torres does purely because his debut season was such a success. Puyol for an outside bet as he is consistenly the best centre half in the world.

Im a liverpool fan so obviously am bias towards torres but that was untill i started to watch messi in my opinion he has just got the edge on all players because he makes things happen, skill, pace, scores and the most important thing of all he does not go missing in big games because its impossible to mark him out of the game and i think ronaldo especially does this. But ronaldo is more eye catching and because of the prem success in europe i think he will get it. little winker!

to all those saying that these nominations prove the EPL is the best league in the world. well if it wasn’t for all the foreign players this wouldn’t be the case.
anyway getting back on topic.
ronaldo will win the club footballer of the year. yes i can’t stand the sight of him but there is no denying that over the recent year he is the best player in the world.
leonel messi is a close second. i believe he is a better player than ronaldo but hasn’t been as good as ronaldo over the past season.
it almost im possible to decide upon a third place. but im going to be biased and say that fernando torres will be third. a stunning first season inthe premier league has really proved himself as a world class striker.
best goalkeeper to petr cech.
best defender to jamie carragher.
best midfielder to steven gerrard.
best forward to cristiano ronaldo.
p.s. i find in shocking that all the midfielders nominated all play in the premier league. surely andres iniesta, xavi hernandez, andres pirlo etc. had earned the right to be nominees.

from the list, i can boldly say that Christiano Ronaldo will win the overall best. The list also shows that Manchester United is the greatest team in 2007/2008 season. For real Madrid, i wish them better lack next time. Man U all the way.
