Dimi no-mates is shunned by the Spurs squad…
by Dexter on August 27th, 2008 It looks like the Spurs squad has given sulky striker Dimitar Berbatov the silent treatment after he was dropped (or did he refuse to play?) at the weekend.
Everyone’s favourite tabloid rag The S*n brings us word that the Spurs squad have clearly had enough of their truculent Bulgarian:
DIMITAR BERBATOV got the cold shoulder from his Spurs team-mates yesterday.
None of them spoke to the surly striker when he returned to training for the first time since being axed for Saturday’s defeat by Sunderland.
The entire Tottenham squad followed our SunSport columnist Ian Wright’s advice and sent Berba to Coventry for trying to force a move to Manchester United.
Even skipper Ledley King told his team-mates to forget about the stroppy Bulgarian and focus on beating Chelsea on Sunday. (The S*n)
You have to wonder quite what shade of rouge the Lord of the Ferg’s nose will turn if Dimi tries one of his strops at Old Trafford. Now that Tottenham have nearly got rid of their mopey Bulgarian, the real work begins, bringing in someone who isn’t in a permanent state of disgruntlement. Pavlyuchenko anyone?

Paul - August 27th, 2008 at 6:08 pm
Problem is now with Berbatovs recent behaviour and now the well known cold shoulder the rest of the squad has given him, it must have now become apparent to United that we are desperate to offload the sulker and I cant see them coming in with a higher bid when they know deep down we must be desperate to sell. All this talk of sticking him in the reserves is utter bollocks bearing in mind any future big name signings rest on the sale of Berbatov!
bruce thomas - August 27th, 2008 at 6:22 pm
Berbatov wont be in a strop when he can play with Rooney Tevez Ronaldo Scholes etc etc instead of Lennon and HuddleSTONES. He won’t be able to wipe the smile off his face. Real football, at last
kermit - August 27th, 2008 at 6:27 pm

He has blotted so many good memories by his behaviour.
If I was his team mate I would find hid behaviour personally insulting.
Cant wait to see Pavel & Huntelaar at the lane. COYS

BREAKING NEWS!! Spurs have just signed dean windass in a deal worth £85 as a direct replacement of berbatov as they are much alike in style and skill
Dave Dude - August 27th, 2008 at 10:09 pm
I don’t what anyone is talking about. This is all crap guys. Lets face it - we don’t like Dimi anymore. But let’s face it again he is brilliant and we are replacing him with some bloke most people have never heard of. When I sae that Pav was joining us last night I just stared with my mouth open for 10 mins. The bloke I really didn’t want us to sign, and who had openly dissed spurs was. I am not happy. From 3 v good strikers and Bent I really think we are scarmbling for choices.
Big phill - August 27th, 2008 at 10:21 pm
Paul, just to put you straight. “any future big name signings rest on the sale of Berbatov!” No it doesn’t. Because during this transfer window we have re-couped more money then what we have spent so far. SO we havn’t spent a single penny of our transfer budget this window. Which, going by previous seasons, is around 30-40 mill. So Pavlyuchenko 12m? arshavin 20mill? chorluka 8mill? 40 mill. Without the sale of Dimi Cuntov. which might be 25-30 mill. But no means dependant on him. Just means we might bring in another player in the def mid field. And im sure most other people will agree with me, cent def, 2 strikers is more important right now than a def mid?
Dimloe - August 27th, 2008 at 10:50 pm
Pav + arsh will be good. Pav only said what he said to throw the press. berbaslag is history, wherever he ends up our reserves or timbucktu!! The hunter would be awesome £28m?, but i think dm will come first? I don’t care what order they arrive in as long as we get em,COYS!!
Big phill - August 27th, 2008 at 10:56 pm
Dave Dude. from what your saying “we are replacing him with some bloke most people have never heard of. When I sae that Pav was joining us last night I just stared with my mouth open for 10 mins. The bloke I really didn’t want us to sign, and who had openly dissed spurs was. I am not happy.” Yes dont get me wrong Dimi on his day is awsome. However, this Pavlyuchenko has a scoring record of more than a goal every other game for club and country. Ramos must see something in him that fits the formation he wants to play. I mean, how many of you thought Kanoute was great? Ramos bought him to play in his formation and now look at him now, one of the most respected and sort after strikers in la liga while ramos was there! How many of you thought Drogba was good, especialy after his first season? Bet none of you! Next season he was awsome! The special 1 bought him to play in his formation which was how Drogba played and he was immense! I honestly believe, Ramos is trying to get Spurs to play the way he wants, no doubt. However, i also believe Keane, Defoe and Berbercunt dont fit into his style which is why he is willing to let them leave. Ok, maybe not Keane, his hand was forced. HOwever i trust Ramos in his jugment cos if it means Pavlyuchenko signs for us which is then followed by Arshavin then it is shrewed as he is replacing 1 strike force (Keane Berberwanker) with another 1. At the same time plays in his image. 1 big main guy, 2 off him (Arshavin, Santos/Modric) like at sevilla. Like Chelsea under the special 1, Drogba (Robben/duff, Lampard)
Oh on a totaly different note. SOme of you might slag me off what ever! Pavlyuchenko has scored more than 1 goal every 2 games for club and country only costing 12 mill. Robinho has scored less than 1 goal every 4 games for club, including Real Madrid! and country! Yes, thats the same Brazil that scores 3 or 4 against most teams and are, in think, 3,4 or even 5 times world champs! For min 24mill That is more than Twice as much goals for half the money of a player that has played for much better teams and countries. So stil dont want Pavlyuchenko to sign for spurs?
jay swizzle - August 28th, 2008 at 3:00 am
The guy scored andhelped us win the league cup. No player is bigger than any club, so let by gones be by gones and lets try and win some games this season. Typical tottenham supporters are sooking just like Dimi - apparently. Move with the times and win some games.
Paul - August 28th, 2008 at 2:27 pm
If we were’nt dependant on the sale of Berbatov, then why haven’t we signed any of these players yet? Your right in a sense that we do have some money put aside, but I can guarantee that our major targets i.e Arshavin and Veloso will only come in once weve accepted a bid for Berbatov.
