According to this source, Rafa Benitez is about to finally rid the club of this flop forward!
Reports are claiming FC Nantes could be ready to mount a last-minute swoop for Liverpool striker Andriy Voronin. The French club are keen on bolstering their strike force for the new season with the addition of a new striker. The arrival of Robbie Keane and David Ngog in the summer puts Voronin’s future in further doubt. The Ukrainian wasn’t even on the bench for the game against Standard Liege. (Kop-tv.com)
Voronin is a frustrating character, clearly he has some level of skill and ability as he has on occasion (very rarely) displayed what he can do for the club. He started last term ably enough and has since sunk lower and lower and now finds himself very low down on the pecking order and the £4m rated Ukrainian has made it clear that he isn’t particularly happy with things on Merseyside (remember his rant last season about various issues he had with the area he lives in?). So if Nantes come up with a decent offer then I am sure Benitez will cash in very quickly indeed. Do Liverpool fans think that they ever got to see the best of Andriy?
