This source claims that this out of favour Tottenham star may well be about to leave for Birmingham on loan with a view to a permanent deal.
Out of favour Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Kevin Prince Boateng, is being lined up by Championship side Birmingham City on a loan deal.
Co-owner David Sullivan has conceded that City will have to find loan signings now after failing to land targets on permanent deals before the transfer window closed on Monday night.
Sullivan also confirmed Birmingham’s interest in bringing Boateng to St Andrews, with the former Hertha Berlin player known to not figure in Spurs boss Juande Ramos’ plans at Tottenham.
21-year old Boateng joined Spurs from Bundesliga club Hertha Berlin in 2007 for £4.5million (€5.7m), but has failed to establish himself under White Hart Lane boss Juande Ramos, making only 13 appearances for the North London outfit last season.
Sullivan told the Birmingham Mail: “Boateng? Still a possibility, who knows?
“Another club were about to buy him for a pile of money, then changed their mind. (Premiershiplatest.com)
Boateng is a player who will probably never play for Spurs again such are the feelings towards him from Juande Ramos who clearly doesn’t rate the German. A loan move to Birmingham may well be a decent move for the youngster who is still trying to find his feet in the game. He could well be the kind of player who could shine in the Championship and help the midlands side back into the Premier League. White Hart Lane had a proper clear out of deadwood over the past few months and I think its fair to say that all in all the club looks to have a better squad than it did when last season came to a close. Do Spurs fans think that a frontline of Pavlyuchenko and Bent could be fruitful?
