Midfielder has ‘no regrets’ about leaving Arsenal: Will the Gunners struggle without him this season?
by stresster on September 5th, 2008A 3-0 win against Newcastle seems to have restored the confidence of Arsenal fans in their team. The previous week, the Gunners had lost 1-0 at Fulham, prompting supporters to question why Arsene Wenger hadn’t plugged the gaps in midfield that had been left by Alexander Hleb and Mathieu Flamini, will that question rear its ugly head when the team stumble away from home again?
For while Arsenal played well last weekend, the Magpies didn’t put up much of a fight, and it remains to be seen whether the likes of Eboue and Denilson can fulfil the role that Flamini performed so well last season. The Sun reports that the Milan midfielder will be supporting his former team-mates in the Champions League this season, but will he be watching a team that is getting out-battled in the middle of the park?
He said: “I don’t regret deciding to join AC Milan.
“I’m happy with the choice I’ve made. Milan has given me trust and I’m trying to repay them — we can always win the UEFA Cup.
“I will support Marseille and Arsenal in the Champions League this season.
“I believe Arsenal can do something good in the competition.”
The Frenchman wasted little time heading for the San Siro as soon as the season had finished, despite last season being a breakthrough campaign. Do Arsenal fans wish that he was still at the club and would your chances of winning silverware be improved if the player had remained?

Football has certainly changed an awful lot from the game I watched as a kid, and not for the better as far as fans are concerned. The game seems to have lost its soul and things such as honour, loyalty and common decency have become meaningless words from a bygone era. The majority of players, managers, chairmen and governing bodies at the top level in the modern game are nothing but a bunch of greedy, lying, cheats.
The despicable conduct of Ronaldo over the summer and the disgraceful actions of Ferguson and Berbatov on Monday are prime examples. The sport and the media should properly vilify them for their behaviour but instead of this they are held up as role models and heroes, and a blind eye is turned to anything to the contrary. To ordinary fans the shameful conduct of these players and club officials is really quite stomach churning at times, but that’s the game as it is today.

I don’t blame him for making up his mind to leave. Milan are a huge club, they offered more than Arsenal did and they have a bigger pedigree than Arsenal do. Add to that the antics of Flamini in leaving Marseille on a free transfer in what the Marseille President called “beautiful treason” and you’ll see why I wasn’t particularly surprised. If he had been replaced, I wouldn’t be too bothered, to be honest. However, this is a huge gamble that doesn’t have a lot of justification in it, I’m afraid. However, I’ll deliver my judgments as soon as silverware gets on offer!

No no no Flamini and Hleb DO NOT make much of a difference to Arsenal. If they are such great players than Arsenal wouldn’t have lost the Premier League last season. They are just players who play well if the team’s performance is great but when the team is down they will never be able to lift the team, like Chelsea’s Essien and Ballack or Liverpool’s Gerard. They are not big time players. The present team is far better, believe me, they will certainly perform better than last season. I said that is because the present new players like Nasri, Vela, Silverstre, Wilshere, Ramsay and Bishoff all have big hearts and are definitely more talented and brainy than both Flamini and Hleb. If football is about dribbling the ball all over the field or running nonstop than the two is probably one of the best. Unfortunately football is a game that uses one’s foresight and brain so that is why players like Beckenbaur, Cruyff, Pele, Maradona are still the greatest. Fabregas is still only half way there but he will be on the same level provided he continues his rapid progress. In spite of all the unintelligent buyings by clubs like Spur and Manchester City I am certain Arsenal will still be in the top level of the League, period !

Want to hear some red hot news?…Then read on….There’s a rumour running around, that’s being hushed up but has gained momentum. Centred around a heated argument between Youth Academy coach Steve Bould, Pat Rice and Boro Primorac. Apparently a discussion was overheard, relating initially to Jack Wilshire,Mark Randall and Henri Lansbury and the fact they are to be elevated to the first team squad as soon as possible. That’s strange I hear you say.Well not when you hear the Bombshell that is about to drop…. At first an Arsenal inside source told we it was relating to the movements of several low key first team players, to free up cash to buy Wenger’s much needed requirement’s .Then I get a phone call today telling me it’s none other than FABREGAS, and due to Wenger’s lack of investment in strengthening the squad, he feels that Arsenal have stagnated and are not moving forward.Apparently he will be leaving during the January window and a reporter from Spain will be breaking the news this week. A friend was at the training ground, and without naming him, due to his position,I know a few choice words were said to Pat Rice by several players and the star man himself walked off the training field and sped off in his car.The argument was overheard and a lot of the players are concerned that injuries and zero purchases will impact any progress the team will make this season……Remember where you heard this FIRST

arsenal will be fine and probably finish 3rd ….
but arsene needs to do sum reshuffiling and spend the 30 mill given to him in january …
im an evertonian so naturally my team to watch after the blues would be arsenal because there not money grabbin bastards and they play gr8 football … also arsene is a god ..
neway on to my point .. arsene needs to sign a few in january to make arsenal serious title contenders in the comin years …
the big man needs to sign a few midfielders in my opinion ….. with a defensive midfielder to shield the back for being a priority and then another main central man to create chances for van persie …… on the flanks uve got nasri walcott an ramsey neway .. so thats not a problem …. also get rid of that unloyal t*** adebayor hes not rite for the club … bring in sumone wiv prooven goalscorin pedigree … like huntleear or owen for a cut price of two mill in jan …..
all the best to the gunners hope u topple tha stalins chelsea and the yank mancs … an u dont even need to worry about the shite …..rafa wil take care of that for ya haha
