Spurs consider EXCELLENT midfield bargain signing: Could be perfect buy!
by Mr Comfort on September 6th, 2008Speculation is rife that this former Juventus man is about to make a move to the Premier League. Arsenal and West Ham have already been closely linked with a move for this out of contract star but now it appears that Juande Ramos may well be lining up a move.
Don’t forget to check out Online Football Manager!
Appiah has already been linked with a host of clubs this summer including West Ham, Tottenham, Genoa and Juventus (goal.com)
I was flicking through Sky Sports yesterday and they ran a feature of players that are still available after the window is shut. Excuse my ignorance but I thought once Monday had passed then that it was a closed shop for transfers. I appreciate there is the odd loop hole, for extreme circumstances, but I didn’t know free agents could sign up and play with immediate effect. There was a fair list of names on that list like the Brazilian legend Ronaldo and the not so legendary Dane Thomas Gravesen, but one name that stood out like a sore thumb was Ghana captain Steven Appiah; exactly what Tottenham need at this moment and a player who is keen to come to the Premier League. (footballfancast.com)
Ghana captain, Stephen Appiah has recently quit his club, Turkish champions Fenerbahce. Tottenham have been accused of having a lack of balance in their midfield, in the absence of a defensive midfielder. With Didier Zokora filling in at left-back and centre-back, the ex-Juventus player could fit the bill perfectly. (spurs.blogfc.com)
This battling Ghanaian is a top quality player who would cost nothing to capture and although he has had some injury concerns of late if he proved himself to be 100% ready and able to compete then a move for the 27 year old would be a very wise one indeed. He is reported to command a £70k a week salary but considering the saving made by not having to fork out millions for his signature these wage demands may not be so astronomical. So Spurs fans do you think that Ramos should take a gamble and offer a contract to the former Fenerbache man?

Appiah could well be a top notch addition, and well worth considering. He was awesome at the 2006 World Cup and always looks full of running.
norwegian yid - September 6th, 2008 at 1:58 pm
can’t you for once give up on all these rumours??? the window is shut! so shut up. Pay more attention to the games now. Im sick of all these players being linked to us.
stoney - September 6th, 2008 at 2:03 pm
would be a good addition
MIles - September 6th, 2008 at 2:03 pm
Would be a good signing. To norwegian yid, i think its fairly obvious rumours are still out there, and signings are still being considered so not sure what your problem is.
Jonty - September 6th, 2008 at 2:38 pm
Exclusive - a $50 Million signing could be the saviour of tottenham!!
It appears today that billy the fish was close to considering a move to tottenham back in 1984. His great grandmothers poodle was quoted as saying - I like pedegree chum.
Another waste of everyones time
JJ - September 6th, 2008 at 2:47 pm
Good signing if it happens and to boost our profile and our strikers why not offer Ronaldo a contract to come play as long as he is over his knee injury.
SMOOTH AND ROUND - September 6th, 2008 at 2:53 pm
Wenger likes a bit of brown bum,so no chance for us.
Beaconsfield Spur - September 6th, 2008 at 3:31 pm
The transfer date does not apply to this scenario. He can move at any time.
So why not take a chance se what happens till January window opens again?
joker - September 6th, 2008 at 3:58 pm

norwegian yid >
He’s a free agent so can be signed any time after the transfer window closes you dipstick !
Your Mum - September 6th, 2008 at 4:14 pm
Maybe if he took a pay ‘cut’ then yeah. I know it may be hard for him but he’ll have to do what the rest of us do and buy Tescos Value products instead. These are tough times.
Your Mum - September 6th, 2008 at 4:35 pm
And what about Ronaldo? Surely a pay as you play contract (reasonably priced) could be a gamble worth taking. One of the greatest strikers of the last 30 years and the player with the most world cup goals and still just 31. He’s onbiously had his injury problems but his recent one occured on the ‘good’ knee and so rehab may not be a problem. If he got fit he would still be, to my mind, a potent player.
Your Mum - September 6th, 2008 at 4:41 pm
And look at these goal stats (goals in brackets)
Cruzeiro 014 (12)
PSV Eindhoven 045 (42)
FC Barcelona 037 (34)
Internazionale 68 (49)
Real Madrid 127 (82)
A.C. Milan 16 (9)
Tottenham 45 (642)
Juande Ramos - September 6th, 2008 at 4:46 pm
I want to sign everyone in the world that plays football…. according to you guys, they’re all good additions.
Thanks for wasting my time.
Juande.

‘footballfancast.com’ and ’spurs.blogfc’ aren’t actually news sources, they are just peoples opinions so it’s a bit misleading to run with the headline ‘Spurs consider…’ as it’s not actually Spurs considering anything…it’s just a fan/reporter thinking aloud.
bristol spur - September 6th, 2008 at 6:20 pm
I think Appiah would be a great signing, especially on a free. His £70k a week may be a problem just due to the strict wage structure. Although I am sure that the board could find a way round it like giving him a baloon payment as a signing on fee of a couple of million and then paying him circa £40k a week

I have to admit that Berbatov and Keane have left and Man City have become the new club for the press to focus there attention on. It has a great positive affect for spurs It takes that non-stop top 4 pressure of spurs abit, I have a feeling we will be left alone, dismissed a bit which just leaves the perfect opportunity for spurs to shut up and let the performance do the speaking… I think this reduced pressure will have a positive affect and with Juande in charge we could have a good season.. Well I like to keep beliving………… COYS
Daniel Levy - September 6th, 2008 at 9:09 pm
As you may know I have cash flowing out of my arse so I’m gonna buy everyone from Chelsea Real Madrid & Manchester United all for about a a billion pounds, no matter to me because i’m a fountain of cash, Appiah well he can be my horse for the next few days because my horse was shot in the foot he’d do well for about a fiver a week so that’s a great signing for me
Spured on - September 6th, 2008 at 10:31 pm
How does it appear Ramos is lining up a move..? Just another put Spurs next to the players name..!
biliospur - September 7th, 2008 at 7:05 am
Is there a new amazing talent playing the streets or park of some town somewhere
a new best or pele or maradonna kid which an agent of ours could capture!
kermit (anonymous above also) - September 7th, 2008 at 12:49 pm
i like appiah hed add steel to the spurs midfield
Vladimir Sovicj - September 7th, 2008 at 2:55 pm
Personally, i think that the Ghanian captain should never even consider a move Tottenham Hotspurs, as they are a very inadequate team. Everybody is leaving them for much better teams. Berbatov and Keane have the right idea. They were too good for Tottenham and they knew it.
I say, does anybody else smell onions around this forum?
I myself am a Russian billionaire who could quite easily afford to buy a club of minnows such as Tottenham Hotspurs. But quite frankly i would rather buy a canister of shit with slugs like Daniel Levy wriggling around inside.
Does everybody agree?
p.s i need a new wife does any sigle woman fancy a bubbly, exciting man in his thirties with a limitless supply of cash and fantastiuc sex.
write back any offers on this forum.

go back to your football manager game and have fun. I know how the rules are. Just trying to prove a point by saying that 95% of all players being linked to us are pure bullshit. Every decent player avaiable on a free gets linked to us. in case you havnen’t found out yet. this page is full shit. But its not blocked on my computer at work, and there are quite a few comments here, so its a way to kill some time.
btw, I dont like calling other yids names, but you sound like a dipstick. Enjoy the one match per year you’ll watch or so.
