And so in plainer English, Kevin Prince Boateng is to be loaned out to Birmingham City. The transaction is thought to be concluded within the next few days or so. My understanding is that this deal or one like it would’ve been wrapped up sooner, but the player has been ‘a bit injured’.
He looked like Jack The Biscuit. Tatooed and toned. Sleeves rolled to expose hours in the gym. Unfortunatley his frenzied stints in the shirt generated mostly backward and sideways passes. And like my local chip shop, he simply didn’t deliver.
We expected more. A polished Taarabt. Street tuff and target happy. What we got was a damp squib. Most damning of all was the arrival of Ramos. KP was said, though I forget by who, to have been an erstwhile target of the Sevilla coach. He gave him a few goes and then clearly gave up. (HarryHotspur)

Oscar Wilde couldn’t have put it better. So will the Prince be missed? Well clearly not, will he manage to look the part in the Championship, well he is quite likely to get kicked repeatedly and his glorious ineffectiveness may not be deemed quite to pretty and stylish when Birmingham make a January trip to Blackpool! It kind of makes you wonder why he was ever bought in the first place! So Spurs fans is Boateng good enough to make it in the top tier? Or is a spell in the Championship a sign of things to come?
