Yes Rafa invested pretty cleverly in the summer window but there are many who still believe there is something still missing in order to challenge the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United for the title, maybe that little something could come with the signing of any of these three?

David Villa – Robbie Keane has of course arrived to form a partnership to saviour at Anfield but as yet they don’t seem to be gelling, but don’t get me wrong it’s early days but maybe Rafa would have been better going for Torres’s international partner Villa? Yes the Valencia man was wanted by just about every major team in the world after his Euro 2008 exploits but having El Nino on his books would surely have handed the Merseysiders some sort of advantage in the pursuit. Still at the Mestalla and apparently the La Liga side even turned down a bid from Real Madrid but who knows maybe this deal could be revived next summer if Valencia once again finish mid table and miss out on that all important Champions League spot.
