£30m Arsenal star wanted: Wenger will NEVER let it happen!
by Mr Comfort on September 14th, 2008This man of the moment is apparently been sought after by some of the game’s big spenders, with Manchester City and Real Madrid eyeing up a player who Wenger will surely never consider selling!

Real Madrid and Manchester City are eyeing Arsenal’s England hero Theo Walcott. The Daily Express says that within minutes of Walcott leaving the pitch in Zagreb, his agent was taking calls from people desperate to take a slice of the new pin-up boy. And Arsenal were quick to react.
His performance will have been noted by Manchester City, Chelsea and Real Madrid, especially as his Gunners contract has little more than 18 months to run. In the summer, Arsenal chiefs told Walcott they would wait until December to start negotiations about a new deal. But those talks are likely to be moved forward as a matter of urgency.
Having signed as a 16-year-old in 2006 from Southampton, Walcott is well down the pay scale on about £20,000 a week. (tribalfootball.com)
Manchester City have, of course, been linked with every top talent on the planet since they were purchased by a consortium of billionaires - but this just won’t happen. Walcott will not forget the fact that the north London club put him firmly on the footballing map when they purchased the teenager from Southampton. After a stellar performance in Croatia and yet another top-quality run out at Ewood Park, the £30m rated winger will just get more and more valuable. But, given the potential at the Emirates, I don’t see the England international leaving anytime soon.
Do Gunners fans think that Walcott has earned the right to ask for a new improved contract?

Manchester City are getting carried away. Its a good sign i guess when other teams drool over your clubs players. Walcott has taken a year or so to get used to life in the top tier and i think he is getting nearer and nearer to being a top quality player.

no chance he wont develop enough properly with another team. anyway wenger said they were gonna offer him a new contract

Citeh are a joke!!!!!!! No player of any integrity or with any kind of a backbone would ever consider trading a big club for this provincial backwater team that has won the lottery. So that rules Theo out then.
Robino signed for one thing, the pay packet, that is where his loyalty lies, that is the badge he kisses after scoring a goal. That should never be forgotten.
As for Theo, before the croatia game he was a ‘disapointment’ according to the press, he scores a hat-trick and all of a sudden the guy is the greatest player in the world. A little perspective please. I love Theo as much as any other Arsenal fan, BUT, he is a young lad showing signs of promise. He still has a long way to go, and he does not need all of this ridiculous hype that surrounds him at the moment. They simply build him up to tear him to shreads the next time he has a bad game. Like Wenger said, ‘don’t make him Henry, before he is Thierry Henry’

In case you’ve forgotten, Theo chose Arsenal over Chelsea because he knew he’d get a chance to develop and wouldn’t just sit on the bench like SWP. He’s a very level-headed young man and he won’t jeopardise his career for a few extra quid.

gerry stop acting like you know him, how do you know if he’s a “level headed young man” you’re a nobody, you can’t pretend like you know the players, or what theyre thinking just because you watch them run around for 90 mins each week. fucking dickhead.
mboza - September 15th, 2008 at 1:04 am
did anybody nottice?alex hleb seem to be a flop in barc, nothing have been said about flamini, i wish G silva good luck.Do any gunner fan think walcot can be also so stupid?
Gerry - September 15th, 2008 at 6:08 am
Alex your the dickhead and should not be allowed to communicate with the outside world. Can you explain what you know is different.
anonymous - September 15th, 2008 at 6:11 am

Bobby Carpenter - September 15th, 2008 at 8:31 am
gerry in factyou are a dickhead,
u know nothing about walcott so dont say he is a level headed young man , he COULD be a greedy prick u dont know, just cause you see him run around soccer pitch doesnt mean u know him

Grow up children.
You don’t have to personally know a player to be able to make a judgement call on them. Watch a few Walcott interviews and you will see that he “comes across” as very level headed for his age.
Sure he could be a greedy prick, but all of the evidence points to the contuary, so to ignore the facts and choose a hunch instead makes you ignorant.

walcott will only go to liverpool as he supports them, but arsenal is where he will stay and for a long time too, hes a smart kid he knows where he can flourish into one of the premier leagues best players.
Man city should handle there money better.. we dnt need another chelsea in the premier league. money doesnt always buy u trophies, n arsenal will prove that this season.
APK - September 15th, 2008 at 12:20 pm
Alex, don’t f**k around with non-issues. Gerry only gave his personal opinion and you only wrote what you are and not on any issue!! Yes you are the “REAL DICKHEAD” together with anonymous. Come back and we comment objectively.
walcotts quick feet - September 15th, 2008 at 12:30 pm
for the records when we signed walcott didnt he come to arsenal because he knew he would develop and he said money doesnt make you a better player but wenger does
so alex your wrong u dickwipe
why cant people ever back up thier qoutes with actual facts
walcott also said he wishes to repay wengers faith and by that he means he will stay with arsenal
gosh hes only 19 and already scored a hatrick for arsenal and england

been on the bench at the bernubau (dont know how to spell it but r madrids staduim )

intheknow - September 15th, 2008 at 2:08 pm
I have palyed football with theo, and still talk to him. He is a very nice and inteligent guy who is willing to stay at arsenal for life. He has said to me that life at Arsenal is great and he has learnt so much. He isnt worried about his contract and will sign a new one soon about 35-45 p/week
To 2011 , so Arsenal fans, you have a young loyal footballer who wants to be as big as TH for Arsenal at Arsenal….

I’m a manchester city fan , which of course you know that people think were getting bigger and bigger but i must admit that we will never be as big as man utd, liverpool or arsenal. But in fact i see all the manchester city fans are very excited about all the money these billionaires have got, but for me . . football isn’t played with money. . its killing the game . obviously you need money to buy players but robinho,£32 million pounds .. speculation cristiano ronaldo,£125 million pounds .. robinhos worth £5 million Ronaldo £10 million .. one time Alan Shearer was the record singing for £3 million in the premiership !
