Ronaldo in new bid for Manchester City!

Some people simply never get the message – and one of them is the Brazilian Ronaldo. Manchester Ciy manager Mark Hughes said in no uncertain terms last week that he didn’t want the three time World Player of the Year at the City of Manchester Stadium. But Ronaldo doesn’t seem to read the papers.

The former FC Barcelona and Real Madrid striker is currently a free agent after AC Milan decided not to renew his contract at the end of last season. He has been linked with a move to City and the club did admit that at one point they were interested in signing him. However, they have now confirmed that they do not want him, though Ronaldo still maintains his optimism:

“I have spoken to Manchester City and I know the opportunity will come once I have recovered,” he said. “But I will also like to consider Flamengo. It is my dream to play for them and I will consider all my options once I feel I have recovered.”

Flamengo? Wasn’t that the club that rejected Ronaldo when he was still a young and budding footballer? Seems like we are moving in circles.
