Reports are suggesting that Wolves are attempting to deter a bid from Premier League suitors for their keeper, and the price tag they have placed should scare off Arsenal and Everton pretty sharpish!

Wolves have slapped a £10 million asking price on goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey.
Arsenal and Everton are said to be interested in signing Hennessey although a £10m price-tag may deter the Premiership duo from making a move in January. (tribalfootball.com)

Clearly if Mick McCarthy doesn’t want to sell his 21-year-old Welsh international goalie, then he could just say “he is going nowhere” but instead he has opted for the pick-a-number-out-of-thin-air trick, and an estimation of £10m should serve two purposes. One, it will prevent any interested parties from even considering parting with huge sums of cash and secondly, it probably helps illustrate to Hennessey just how highly his current club thinks of him.

What are the odds though that if Wolves don’t gain promotion that the custodian leaves Molineux? Do Gunners fans think the club needs another keeper?
