Winger Albert Riera has made his presence known at Anfield after making a move to the club from Espanyol this summer. With the addition of a competent winger to the starting XI, Rafa Benitez now finds himself in the enviable position of moving pieces of deadwood in January in preparation for a possible push for a certain Newcastle striker. It appears Stoke are ready to take one of those pieces off his hand by going after this wantaway winger in January!
Stoke are lining up a £3m bid for Liverpool’s 25-year-old winger Jermaine Pennant. (Various)
The move would be good for both parties involved. Liverpool could rid themselves of Pennant for a decent price, while Stoke could grab a solid winger who’s dying for time on the pitch. It looks like a win-win for both clubs!
What do Stoke and Liverpool supporters think? Would this move be beneficial?
