The £30m TRIO RAMOS should sign for Tottenham in January!
by Mr Comfort on October 7th, 2008According to this source, under-fire boss Juande Ramos should try this trio to help the club steer clear of relegation, but is this former Arsenal legend correct?

Firstly, I would call Juande Ramos into my office and tell him we were definitely NOT going to sack him.
I would give him until the end of the season — whatever happened.
I would then give Ramos enough money to sign who HE wanted in January — with Gennaro Gattuso, Gianluca Zambrotta and Emile Heskey the top three players on my list.
If Ramos knew he was definitely staying, and that he would be allowed to bring in fresh players when the transfer window reopens, then all the fans would have no choice but to get behind him. (Ian Wright, The Sun)
So is Wright Wright Wright right? Well these three may well have been on his wish-list, but Heskey apart, it could be very tricky to clinch these signings. After all, Zambrotta only just joined AC Milan in the summer and, given their decent start to the season, I don’t see the full back leaving. Gattuso is in a similar boat, also at Milan (for almost a decade now), however he could be up for the Premier League challenge.
As for Emile Heskey, I really don’t know how this link keeps being made. Whilst Heskey may have had a good game for England against Croatia, he is still in my view a very average footballer and one who has nothing to offer Spurs that they don’t already possess.
Do Tottenham fans have any interest in any of these three joining? Who would they recommend Ramos opts for in January?

Why would any of those names come? Spurs are rubbish and always have been for the past 20 years. False dawns, false promises and we are a feeder club.We will finish bottom six this year as that was our net spend!!!! Levy is a loser, comolli too.
all they care about is profit, not progress.this is all levy the losers doing!! No midfield general, not time to but and to buy big in January just shows how out of touch that think bald stupid man is.pre season…….another season is gone you pathetic gross little idealistic prick mr levy

January is a long way off…a lot of stuff needs to be sorted out before we even think of signing more players
Yida - October 7th, 2008 at 9:24 pm
we have a squad of players who are more than capable of being a decent side. i’m not sure throwing more players at the current shambles is needed. ramos needs to sort out what he has - more players means more players to gel into the current incoherent system. Get the side organised a bit like Hull or Villa into a solid unit and then think about who we need to buy

i cant figure it out! on paper spurs are the beez neez, they need to play everyone in the right position for starters let gunter play rb until hutton is back play bentley right wing etc,and keep the same team no matter who they play against. stop changing things around. and let ramos have 100% control on signings only then will we all know if he is a good manager for spurs.

i think the whole team should eat more lentils because they are good for you and they are high in iron!!!!
cabbage man - October 7th, 2008 at 9:51 pm
also they should try star jumps and more light jogging in training!!!!
cabbage man - October 7th, 2008 at 9:55 pm
maybe if the team had to wear a suit and tie to training it would teach them more discipline which in turn could produce more posotive results on the pitch
cabbage man - October 7th, 2008 at 10:07 pm
i think the whole squad should learn russian to ease the pressure on pavulychenko

Signing more players at this stage is not the answer. I agree with the comment made above that the players should be allowed to play in their right positions. However, I cannot agree with 4-5-1. We need to go for goal at the start of every game, and try to score at least 2 goals before reverting to 4-5-1 in order to strengthen the midfield.

Personally i think if we had offered what the respective clubs wanted for Huntelaar, Diarra, Capel and an experienced centre back or defnsive mid (of the naybet / Davids mould we would be sorted. But now we’re guna struggle to get most players we really want. Heskey could be a good shout. Not awesome but makes players around him play well, puts a shift in and shows some effort. Just what we want right now. Then maybe this Adriano with the sevilla link and Capel if possible. I also would like to some of the youngsters given a go. Sends a good message that they will be given a shot wen senior players arent performing. What do you lot think?

GATTUSO
Hello, my name is Gattuso, I currently play for 1 of the biggest clubs in world football. I am a guaranteed starting player and am adored by the 70,000 plus fans who come to watch me at the San Siro. I have won European cups and league titles with AC Milan and given the strength of our team we will win many more in the near future..
HOWEVER
For some bizzare reason I am thinkin about joining Spurs. They arent 1 of the biggest clubs in the world, they arent 1 of the biggest clubs in the Premiership, in fact they arent even 1 of the biggest clubs in London yet I wish to play for them.
I will get to play to a nice small crowd of under 40,000 at home games and am looking forward to hearing them boo me cos iv been told Spurs fans boo all their players at home games, Iv been told they are fickle but i dont know what that means.
As I will be a big signing for the club I am very likely to start most games on the bench as players of limited ability such as Huddlestone and Zakora get the nod over me, apparently the manager is clueless..
I wont win any european cups or league titles at Spurs and can forget about ever playing Champs League football altho before the season starts every1 associated with the club will talk about how this season we will beat Arsenal to 4th place, this boast only normally lasts 90minutes into the season tho.
Given that Spurs won a trophy called the Carling Cup last season ( I hope iv spelt it correct as I must admit iv never heard of it), I do not expect us to win any trophies again for another 10 years.
I AM REALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO MY TIME AS A SPURS PLAYER…..
LOVE GATTUSO XXX

why does everyone keep saying Levy is trying to ruin spurs by running it as a business… in order for it to be a good financial business the club need to do well in the league so all u prats saying this is ruining us are just stupid. He always puts the money up for players and he may keep a close eye on the books but if we dont perform he doesnt make money so how why would he try and ruinin his own cash cow…
The reason behind our bad performances is simply we have no target man or leader from midfield plus all the players brought in are being chopped and changed constantly like Bentley for example who has a right to moan because i was at the HUll game and he came on at right wing back before being pushed on for Gi to play there which is just plain ridiculous.
Bottom line Levy is not out to ruin us because then he would be left with a club with no potential for profit.
