Seria A club targets Liverpool boss for their soon-to-be vacant coaching slot: He would never leave Anfield!
by offsidetrap on October 9th, 2008Could Liverpool’s goateed-one be next coach of this Seria A side? He’s supposedly on the short list!
Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez is a target for Serie A side Juventus.
Tuttosport says Benitez is on the shortlist of Juve’s board as they consider coach Claudio Ranieri’s future.
Benitez is joined in Juve’s plans by Zenit St Petersburg coach Dick Advocaat and Roma’s Luciano Spalletti.
Former Chelsea coach Ranieri, who recently received the dreaded vote of confidence, oversaw the promotion of Juventus from Serie B.
But the club currently sit 11th in Italy’s top flight and had to scramble back from two goals down to earn a Champions League point at BATE Borisov last week. (Daily Mail)
Let me be the first to say that there’s no way this deal gets done. Benitez has built a fantastic squad at Liverpool since he came to the club. And based on his current comments, he has no intentions on leaving anytime soon. However, with 18 months left on his current contract and no new deal in sight, this has to be the warning signal to Liverpool’s ownership to get a new contact in place.
What do Liverpool supporters think of the deal? Is this a warning sign to Liverpool’s ownership to get Benitez a new contract?

FOR
The PROSPECT of a five year plan to challenge for SERIE A

Maybe he missed the good ol’times when he was trying to beat Jose’s big moneybag with a smaller moneybag in England and he wants to do exactly the same in Italy….

I think the question here is will he jump or will he be pushed……..Think that really depends on (1) how the season pans out and (2) who is in charge next season
