ARSENE WENGER is ready to make a £6million raid for PSV Eindhoven starlet Ibrahim Afellay.
The Arsenal boss has been impressed by the 22-year-old, who can play anywhere in midfield.
Afellay has 11 Holland caps after rejecting Morocco’s approaches and faced Arsenal in the Champions League two seasons ago. (The Sun)
This Dutch international midfielder could well be a very useful addition to the Arsenal squad especially if Tomáš Rosický continues to be sidelined. Although only 22 Ibrahim has a wealth of experience and has four Eredivisie titles to his name and a fair amount of Champions League playing time so this capture could allay worries that many have about this being yet another young signing who will take a while to bed in. He has the touch and vision that suits the Emirates side and if he can be snared for just 6m then Arsene will have done well. Do Gunners fans believe that Afellay could add something to the current squad or should they be aiming to fill other positions on the park?

This may just happen, Afellay is the type of player Wenger goes for, not a big name but a player with potential.

See, my hesitance stemmed from the fact that calling Rosicky a fruity nickname would have a detrimental effect on my heterosexual standing in this fine websites community.
If I had called Nigel gay, then you’re statement would have been more suitable, as you would have been turning the tables on me with startling wit.
But no, YOU placed the emphasis on the wrong word, the effect is lost.
And Gersch isn’t gay, it’s made up. But Alex is a pretty name for a girl.

He is technically superb and has the spliting pass over a long distance. Which would be a nice addition to our short game and it will provide us with a holding midfielder without our feeds to the front is cut off.
