For a long time former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho was considered to be the favourite around Stamford Bridge. When he left, few people thought the next coach at Chelsea could ever do the things that the Special One did during his tenure. They were right. “Average” Grant entered the picture, took Chelsea to the brink of another Premier League title and the Champions League final and still got the boot!
That’s what happens when you’re the boss at one of the biggest clubs in the world. New coach Phil Scolari had some large shoes to fill as well, and from the looks of things, it didn’t appear Scolari would be given any slack as well. Well after a fantastic start, Scolari is now living the life at the Bridge. He’s in favour so much much that he now has a role Mourinho never had!

It could be splitting hairs, but appointing Scolari to a position like this must speak volumes about Roman’s respect and confidence in his new manager. It still remains to be seen if he can keep it up, but so far things look to be bright and cheery for Big Phil and his new squad.
