Reports in the Italian newspaper Il Corriere Dello Sport have suggested that Juventus are preparing a massive bid for Tottenham’s Luka Modric but this report has been dismissed by both clubs and the real target for Juventus is Steven Gerrard at Liverpool.
The fans at Juventus are becoming more vocal by the day and their response to the Modric story has alarmed the club and they are now making moves to appease the fans by attempting to bring in a player that the both the fans and management want and that player is Steven Gerrard. (footylatest.com)
Rumours of clubs moving for Gerrard are coming thick and fast but the £40m rated midfielder will not be going anywhere. Even the clubs American pair wouldn’t be stupid enough to even entertain the notion of cashing in on the England international and Stevie G has proven time and again that he has no plans to leave his beloved club but I guess there is no harm in Juventus giving it a go but even if they bid £100m I am sure they would still not get their man! Do Liverpool fans think that Gerrard will end his career on Merseyside?

Who are you to put up such arbitrary numbers anyway. Gerrard can’t be worth 40m, it’s so low it’s laughable. We are talking about the world’s best midfielder who can play in 80% of the positions on the field. Unless Liverpool gets a 250m++ bid, we shouldn’t even consider. If Juve can come up with that sum, we could arrange a transfer in 2015. Good deal for a 35 year old then since Juve and most italian clubs allow their “stars” to play till they are 40+ years old.

DIC is going to buy Charlton now and leave Liverpool to rot in debts. The yanks crumbling in debts may do a fire sale on Liverpool and Torres or Gerrard could be going because these two players will actually service at least 3-4 years of interests and repayments.
