Getafe captain David Belenguer dreams of playing Premier League football in the future, despite being about to turn 36.
The defender has been rumoured to be targeted by English top flight teams, including Tottenham, where his former boss Juande Ramos is struggling.
Experienced centre back Belenguer used to work under Ramos at Real Betis and would jump at the chance of crossing the channel to play in The Premier League. (Setanta Sports)
Belenguer has been around the block and that could count in his favour if indeed Ramos does make the relatively cheap signing, said to take around £2m, to secure the Spanish centre back. With King invariably injured and with Dawson being frankly not good enough this could well be a clever buy but would of course not be a lasting solution to the problem. Do Spurs fans think that Ramos was too hasty in selling off Kaboul?

He is 36 and in the Premiership nothing accelerates the aging process than playing against younger, smarter, quicker and better opposition.
Might be decent in Spain but he would be awful in the EPL.

Very good idea JD, hadn’t thought of Hypia, could be a god send at this time with his knowledge of the premiership game and his experience. Hope Ramos is being informed of the fans view, who knows maybe he will decide to leave the players in there natural positions and even take note of the sometimes excellent suggestions.
