The Independent brings us word that the Tottenham suits are weighing up Damien Comolli’s position as Director of Football, and that Chairman Daniel Levy is being pushed to abandon the whole system altogether.

Word on the street is that Comolli’s position was becoming more and more needless, and that Daniel Levy has been doing much of the legwork in recent transfer deals:

The Tottenham Hotspur hierarchy is debating whether to abandon its director of football system altogether as the sacking of Damien Comolli becomes imminent. The Frenchman is on his way out of the club after their disastrous start to the season and there is pressure on chairman Daniel Levy not to replace Comolli when he does eventually leave.(Independent)

Although there are many that will greet the removal of Comolli with raucous street parties and joyous bellowing, taking him out of the equation will have little or no effect until the transfer window re-opens, and by then it could be Juande Ramos’ head on the block too!

Anyone in a Krakatoan funk of molten fury over this article? Why not discuss it on the COS Forum?!….
