Slaven Bilic, the Croatia manager, got his excuses in early yesterday when he had a whinge and a moan about the two Spurs players in his squad, and the adverse effect they may have on the rest of his men.

Slav said:

‘I am worried about the results at Tottenham, where some of our key players are playing - Corluka and, in particular, Modric.

‘Luka is aware the situation is not good. He is aware that more is expected of him and that he has to lead the others. one of the things we must do at team headquarters is help set him on the right road.’ (Daily Mail)

Modric himself has a reason for his below-par displays at Spurs citing a ‘knee problem’, but for Bilic to be ‘worried’ about Spurs and their results is surely stretching it, isn’t it?

Anyone in a Krakatoan funk of molten fury over this article? Why not discuss it on the COS Forum?!….
