Spurs striker makes it clear that there’s no unrest in the dressing room: Will they turn it around soon?
by offsidetrap on October 11th, 2008Tottenham may be reeling at the moment, but striker Darren Bent says that the poor quality on the pitch hasn’t entered into the dressing room yet. He says everyone is ’still upbeat’! Is this a joke?

‘One win won’t get us out of it, we need to start winning games so that there isn’t a gap where you need to win two or three games just to have a chance,’ Bent said, speaking at an EA Sports event with the NBA.
‘We’ve got a difficult game against Stoke but if we prepare like we know we can do, and play like we did against Hull in periods, we know we can beat anyone.’
Bent is confident Spurs can climb out of trouble and feels everybody at the club is pulling in the same direction.
‘Everyone is still upbeat,’ he added. ‘There are things going around that there is unrest in the dressing room but everyone is behind the manager, and we are all behind each other.
‘I’ve said on numerous occasions, I’m sure we’ll be okay and we’ll put it right sooner or later.
‘It’s disappointing, obviously, but we have to take positives and in some games we’ve been playing well enough to get something from games. (Daily Mail)
How the club remains upbeat during their worst start in 96 years is beyond me. But from the sounds of it, Bent feels his squad will get it going really soon. They have shown bits of improvements over the last couple of weeks, but until they find a way to get their strike force in order, the club will continue to have serious difficulties on the pitch.
Are Tottenham supporters shocked to hear these comments? When do you expect the club to turn things around?

Blinkered crap from the spuds biggest waste of money. He wants to try and do his talking on the pitch before he thinks he is qualified to say anything on record.
If Spurs dont wake up soon they will be the next Leeds.
