Arsene Wenger didn’t think it could get any worse for his paper thin Arsenal squad; but apparently it can. He can thank international duty for killing what little depth he had!
Arsenal will be without William Gallas, Bacary Sagna and Nicklas Bendtner over the next week after all three sustained injuries while on international duty.
Manager Arsene Wenger today admitted his side had suffered “heavy losses” with further concerns over three other players.
Gallas (hamstring), Sagna (knee) and Bendtner (ankle) will all miss this weekend’s Barclays Premier League clash with Everton and next Tuesday’s Champions League trip to Fenerbahce. (ESPNSoccernet)
In all honesty, this is the last thing Wenger needs. His club is reeling from two disheartening matches, and now he gets the news that he’ll be without three players from his starting XI? Oh, it just keeps getting better, and better at the Emirates! I’m sure Tottenham supporters have A LOT of sympathy for their London counterpart!
