Liverpool in CRAZY £15m swap deal: This makes no sense at all!

The Daily Mail does have a habit of creating stories out of thin air and, if this reported swap deal has any basis in reality, then it makes no sense to me!

Barcelona are lining up an exchange deal involving Liverpool’s Xabi Alonso and Barcelona’s Yaya Toure, brother of Arsenal’s Kolo.
Alonso was close to joining Juventus during the summer and Anfield manager Rafa Benitez sees the tough-tackling Toure, 25, as an ideal January recruit.
Toure has played only four of the 10 games this season under new coach Pep Guardiola and is becoming frustrated at the Nou Camp.
He has instructed his agent to seek alternatives with Juventus also a possibility. (Daily Mail)

The idea that Liverpool would even consider this deal is far-fetched. Whilst its true that Xabi was looking like he may be about to leave the club in the summer, he has since been one of the most consistent performers this term, as he has helped the club to a great start to the season. Yaya Toure has a lot to offer but I personally rate Alonso as a better player and therefore the swap deal doesn’t seem to be in the club’s best interests.

Do Liverpool fans think that this swap deal would be a big mistake if it ever took place?
