After slow rolling striker Carlos Tevez over a new contract, it appears that Manchester United may have to speed the process up a bit after word leaked this morning that a new club could be in the running for the striker’s services.
Real Madrid will try to snatch Carlos Tevez if Manchester United continue to dither over making the Argentina striker’s loan deal permanent, according to reports in Spain.
United have expressed their intention to take up their option to sign the 24-year-old for £32million, but delays have left the deal in doubt.
Now Real are monitoring the situation and will make their move if the English champions fail to sign Tevez before January 30, claims Madrid-based newspaper Marca.
The former West Ham striker is owned by an off-shore company and advised by controversial Iranian agent Kia Joorabchian.

To be honest, this news shouldn’t come as a shock to anyone. With Kia Joorabchian in the picture, you know that false rumours and “leaked” information is only a news rag away! It would take a lot to get Tevez to leave his current employer; but with Real Madrid calling, the thought of playing in Spain for one of the biggest clubs in the world could prove to be too much. If United want any advice on this situation, I’d recommend they get this deal done before the January window is over. They don’t want this hanging over their head going into the new year.
